The number of women under the age of 18 that I've liked in my entire life are fewer than 10 (including celebrities), the vast majority were from before I turned 18, only 1 is from after I turned 18 and that was a 3 year age gap.

It's an open secret that predominantly Islamic countries have a huge problem with grooming, pederasty, among other such things. However, what people fundamentally fail to understand is that no part of the fucking world likes paedophiles. b) The notion of "sexuality" or "kinks" or "fetishes" does not exist in Islam. This is a concept that I see most Western people (especially first generation Muslim immigrants) struggle to understand (excellent video by Al Muqaddimah on the subject). Homosexual behaviour exists and homosexual behaviour is condemned. However, Allah (read: YHVH) specifically created humanity with heterosexuality being the fundamental norm. Any type of sexual behaviour that doesn't involve a (read: adult) man and a (read: adult) woman is treated as a sin of excess and lust. This includes homosexual behaviour, pederasty, and most other paraphilias.

c) On the subject of the Prophet and his wife Aisha... this is the one that I personally struggle to talk about the most. Why? Because everyone who clings to the narrative that the Prophet was a child-fucking paedophile who married a 9-year-old girl is horrendously misinformed and nobody ever fucking listens to the other side. It's just "oh, Prophet's a paedophile and I have poorly translated Surahs posted by some random douchebag on the internet to validate my claims!"

TLDR: Aisha wasn't 9 when she got married off, she was 14 and the marriage wasn't consummated until she was anywhere between 17-19. Mind you, the Prophet was still a middle-aged man who was married to a teenage girl and started having sex with her when she was at the tail end of her adolescence. This is a jarring image that does disturb a lot of Muslims abroad. When we read about incest and disturbing age gaps in marriages in the Bible (new or old testament), it's often easy to let that shit slide because the sins the past are several millennia removed from the present day. Stuff gets lost in translation, manuscripts get destroyed, people die out as they get supplanted, the list goes on.

Islam, to the contrary, is fucking autistic with the depths by which people will go to document and preserve their own history. The Ahl Al-Bayt's line can be traced all the way to the modern day with the Hashemites, who in turn, trace their lineage back to Hashim ibn Abd Manaf, the great grandfather of the Prophet himself. When you have a cultural imperative to document everything regarding your own history, including unsavoury elements that later generations would've discarded in later centuries, gets preserved.

I cannot hold the past to the same standards as the present day, but I will say that the subject of the Prophet consummating a marriage with a teenage girl is an actual reason why Muslims become murtads (read: ex-Muslims).

Isn't a big part of mental illness diagnoses, especially things like antisocial personality disorder and what have you, a lack of adherence to social norms within your culture/society? I don't think it's that farfetched that a person in good mental health may very well have some "switch" that causes them to not find someone attractive, because the law says so and/or society/the people in their culture find it abhorrent.

You know for a while here I thought I'd be stuck batting off hysterical retards, so I'm glad you came along with something interesting. Psychiatry as a discipline is significantly impacted by the cultural context in which its found, it's not scientific in the sense that physics or neurology are.

Take for instance the fact that homosexuality was previously regarded as a mental illness, and is no longer regarded as such. There was never any change in the science, it was simply the fact that cultural attitudes changed, and what was previously regarded as mental illness was later regarded as a 'normal' part of human sexuality.

I would argue that this isn't possible, because physical attraction is necessarily the consequence of physical attributes and a huge number of people over the age of 18 are literally indistinguishable from those under the age of 18 who've reached spermarche/menarche. If this weren't the case then it wouldn't be possible for so many underaged people to simply lie about their age to get into clubs, or have sex, or otherwise get by with fake IDs. The fact is many people don't realize how many women they're swiping right on, or seeing in pornography, are underaged, it's absurd to condemn them for having this attraction since there is absolutely no way to make the distinction.
