Problem with Tom or really any long term mentally ill person is they become so intertwined with their illness that getting the help they need is viewed by them as tantamount to cutting off a limb.
A mentally stable Tom would have to face the mess he's made of his life; from blowing a substantial chunk of his inheritance on unless rocks to how filthy his apartment is.

He originally said his mental health defender was picking him up to take him to the evaluation.
If the cops come to get him, he will stream it for sure as he's done in the past.

Who's he trying fool (other than himself). No one in his family/ extended family talks him. Hell, he doesn't even know where some of them have been living for the past decade. He still thinks they're living at their old addresses from like two decades ago. Really says a lot about how much they care about him.

I love his delusions of power. Like cops and mental health professionals don’t deal with aggressive old junkies on a daily basis.

You can’t sue someone for doing their job. Tom is a mentally ill old man and frankly it’s a miracle he hasn’t burned his house down or been beaten to death by another junkie. “The woman” is right to suggest meds. Tom should thank her for not snapping his neck and claiming he looked around too fast.
SPOILER: Tom doesn’t sue anyone.
At best, at the absolute best, maybe his brother is trying to be nice because he knows Tom doesn’t have long left and he doesn’t want them to end things on bad terms.
But there is no way he wants Tom in his life, because why would you? All he does is take and take, then he shit-talks you when you stop giving. He offers nothing and demands everything.
It’s more likely that Tom is just lying though. I imagine in reality it’s more like that scene in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly where they visit Tuco’s brother, but instead of Eli Wallach you have a man shitting himself.

You mentally ill, hive minded , soulless meat sacks are most likely going to be disappointed. This petition is not only baseless, it's obviously retaliation for yelling at a fascist case manager and it exposes 8 years of medical malpractice by the behavioral health department who have obviously been making their own diagnoses in conflict with those of the endo and PCP. I am not a mentally ill man on the verge of homelessness in need of court ordered dangerous pharmaceuticals. I am a hermaphrodite who was mutilated in infancy who struggles every day to keep her male aspect on a tight leash and muzzled and manages very well using cannabis, valerian , kava and other psychotropic botanicals.
The script options for tomorrow are that Todd and his partner will attempt to get me to go with them, I'll refuse and they'll leave again, allowing the order to expire or they'll call for backup and serve the order , even if they have to break down the door. They'll find me inside, clutching my musical instruments, refusing to speak or let anybody touch me. It will all be streamed.
