Haven't we seen enough of these? But it is strange how it has been nearly 6 months and virtually no work has been done to it. Will the Chandler's ever move back in??? Crazy Crazy!
Is it possible that Chris might eventually permanently leave 14BC? The home he's living in now is easier to keep clean and all that, and 14BC is far from being clean. I'm not sure if the insurance company will allow him to stay there though.

I hesitated before writing this before, but that place is gone. There are no shots of the roof this time but it was already beginning to bow back in (March? April?), which was only the first manifestation of how badly the structure was damaged.

We were arguably at the point where the cost to repair would exceed the cost to demolish and rebuild then, but we are definitely beyond it now. The place is a Chernobyl of hazards. I mean, right now you and I are probably inhaling mold. It's everywhere there's moisture. To lock down a house full of water (not to mention garbage) for 6 months is basically setting up a large-scale petri dish for it. You could airlift an Olympic swimming pool full of bleach overheard and drop it from a helicopter and it wouldn't kill everything, some of which is certainly toxic. This is to say nothing of the vermin, the colonies of insects growing in the yard, etc.

This would be a problem in any house with windows boarded up for 6 months, but 14 BC had a huge head start.

Preface: these are not trolling plans, I'm not encouraging this, and I don't even live in Virginia to go and do it myself if I did encourage trolling plans that weren't bad ideas.

Continuance: it would be hysterical if someone posted videos from inside Chris's rotted old room, pretending to be Chris. They could make a couple Captain's Log updates, tard out a bit, and post them from a burner account to youtube. Hell, go a step farther, spend a half day recording footage and make a slenderman-esque cwcville horror series.

If Chris ever saw them he would have an absolute shit fit, either because people were in the house he believes he will once again inhabit, or because he would believe people would think that is actually him.

So, cleanse it with fire? Or do we just jump to the "nuke it" stage?

Man, those two fridges really do look like they could have corpses stashed inside them.
And you have to believe they're no longer in working condition. So why are the Chandlers keeping them around? Does Barb have that old chesnut of hoarder delusions and thinks they can be "fixed" and used again some day?

For the same reason a branch fell in their back yard and remained there... maybe all the way up until today. This old lady and her mentally disabled son can't manage a house on their own.

I don't think this is hoarding as much as... that.

They probably stopped working and had no way to get them to a city dump. No money to pay for it either.

It could be three things. It could be what you said, it could be Chris's storage space for his "tomgirl"skinsuit, or it could be a portal to a realm of pure evil. Or it could just be sheer laziness.

Fire, then doused with water, then left to rot for 6 fucking months...there is no way that the upstairs floor in that house is structurally sound enough to support an adult's body weight.

Nature is stronger than you think. Fortunately Fallout 3 is not realistic with the Earth being barren 200 years after a nuclear war - in real life, it would be overgrown by that time. Just look at Chernobyl. Nature can take over Chrisnobyl just as fine.

I think nature is getting a bit of a boost from all those :briefs: that Chris left there.

Even a fully grown adult manchild who never lost his childish sense of wonder?

You're a killer of dreams, Cid.

I'd honestly be more worried about the shit in the air and walls. That place was filthy before, now it's got to be a biohazard house.
