If we can ever return to some sort of "status quo," maybe a general moderation policy for when KF gets attention might be useful? Shit like when to lock threads, when to feature threads, when to ignore threads, etc. It's pretty clear that attention to the site can be both a boon and a serious threat, and having some idea of how to respond to maximize the former and minimize the latter would be good.

Another unpopular idea: doxing should be bannable. And "doxing" should be defined as posting phone numbers and information of where people live (IMO calling them to get them fired from their jobs is fair game since that's the left's favorite tactic). The phone number, address, social security number etc doxes don't add to the humor and even if it's not illegal it makes people in other places on the internet hate us.

This whole thing reminds me of gamergate & 8ch getting taken down in a terrible way. Exact same tactics from the exact same groups. You can tell someone was waiting and planning to do this to shut down the site and go after Null. I was at the center of GG years ago managing the boycott and also the game journo pros list anonymously - I added like 20-40 names to the list via investigating various emails & usernames we had. I was also researching various other leads at the time but a lot of them were wild goose chases that I believe were planted to keep us distracted and tie up our time and energy. You had goons telling people to essentially look for a needle in a haystack without offering any real proof of the needles existence. And then there was the bad actors with the fake threats and obvious planned media outrage from government officials who should know better but are essentially silencing any place that isn't spouting official party bullshit.

I think the boycott was really the only thing that worked against them. They eventually targeted my accts across various sites and put in new moderators on the reddit r/KotakuInAction who would not sticky my calls to boycott certain targets and focus instead on stupid drama - same for 8ch too actually (by the time they refocused on the boycott GG had petered out months prior) - a lot of the major twitter personas stopped retweeting boycott posts too and focused on streaming and being fags. This was prior to Jim leaving - which caused me to leave as well since Sargon, Mundane Matt and the others were just being useless e-drama idiots. In addition I noticed increased calls on 8ch, reddit, and twitter to just focus entirely on Gawker and limit the boycott. I didn't want to do this and looking back I should have put my foot down but enough people were demanding I keep targetting Gawker only instead of increasing the boycott size & target list like I wanted. I remember having a convo with Rooshv at the time about him thinking circling the wagons on Gawker was a bad idea and I agreed with him. I think this was to limit the damage to just Gawker instead of every site taking hits to both their credibility and financials. But also I had plans to keep expanding the boycott as more groups got involved. I'm sure a lot of people didn't want that. I actually remember warning Jim to not meet up with Jade back then for fear someone could easily dox him just from her name and location being public knowledge. I was working with Jade for parts of the boycott and she was helping to keep it popular at the time btw - one of the only people still being helpful too prior to them all leaving. Jim of course visited Jade and fucked Jade on stream but I do wonder if he got visited by feds and turned into an element. Both went completely no contact relatively fast - and I do wonder if the stream fucking was planned - right down to the way he left. Because honestly - he could have gotten away with staying easily. Most people outside of Sargon & friends thought it was funny listening to him make Jade orgasm and King of /pol/ sperging about the jews, fort knox, and ancient egyptian pyramids in the background.

If this whole shitshow continues despite shutting the threads down - I'd suggest finding some way to boycott them or the people/corporations supporting them & attacking kiwifarms/free speech and ignore anyone trying to prevent you from making it as a big as possible - that was our mistake - just light their money on fire and keep burning as much of it as you can essentially. It's entirely legal and they will screech to the heavens and it will be funny as hell watching them complain and report about it publicly. Forget keffals - make the corrupt pieces of shit backing keffals go bankrupt.

It might be fun to see keffals go after 4chan but knowing how much the government controls 4chan makes that seem like a fools errand.

With respect to doxing, in general, ALL doxes (Especially ones that are not common knowledge) should only be able to be viewed by accounts logged in and are connected to the .onion domain. Don't know if that'd be technically possible, but that is something I would hope to see.
While we can whine all we want about getting kicked off the clearnet by troons, it also needs to force us to reevaluate how much we need to expose about thread subjects. Call me a moralfag, newfag, or anti-free speech, but we really did get too cozy with how much intimate information we're willing to publish. I absolutely do not want a declawed and sanitized version of Kiwifarms if that meant returning to the clearnet. However, what we were getting away with before getting dropped by Cloudflare will never be permissible by DDOS mitigators again.
If anything, keep the ugly stuff that DDOS mitigators do not want to associate with darknet only. There will have to be compromises we don't like.
