HA HA. HA. HA. Oh yeah, a Lego High School is on the level of the Sistine Chapel.

Seriously, is Michael Angelo the only artist he's ever heard of, and the Venus de Milo the only sculpture he knows of?

because turtles :tomgirl:

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

He meant the Ninja Turtles. You think he knows the Venus de Milo statue? To use the vernacular: LOL.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

I never really followed TMNT. I didn't realize one of them was named Venus de Milo. It all makes sense now.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

To be fair, I'm sure that Chris really does consider his Lego high school to be on the same level as the Sistine Chapel.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

If I had a bunch of Legos, I'd build a Lego GAMePLACe, full of trolls and galpals having a great time inside, with minifig Snyder blocking Lego CWC's car outside. A throne for Megan, a Pickleman minifig, X-Boxes- It would be fabulous.

Unfortunately, you have a life, so this masterwork will never be completed.

Yeah, but if I had a :tugboat: I could make it happen.

The only Michaelangelo Chris knows of is a ninja turtle.

At least you can make a virtual model of the place using LDraw and MLCad.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

I just Liked his model, hopefully he'll garner a decent amount so he can complain about it later.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

He changed his avatar, and acknowledged there is a theme he should be implementing (albeit one he doesn't care about following)... I think he DOES (partially) listen to us!

This is why his entry will be disqualified. And then he'll rage, despite having willfully broken the rules.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

Surly you guys mean Venus Dee-lie-low.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

So this is why we got the lego video

That and also he's using Non-Lego pieces in his building, which I would assume would go over about as well as putting some black metal band as the opening act for a Katy Perry concert.

Yeah, the sudden cut in the video might be have been a part where Chris spoke about how he had used Lego's competitors products on the model. He must have realized how that would look and cut it out.

Also... People have started commenting on his piece... Man, people are really nice to him in the site. I can see him uploading more stuff there due to all the praise he's getting.

I'm surprised "tits" isn't a tag as well.

Which is hilarious because unless Lego minifigs have started to have rotating arm and leg joins, his own minifig "avatar" in pcs one and two is a knockoff model. And again, although I haven't bought LEGOs is years, I'm pretty sure half of the stuff in pic 5 is knockoff stuff too. I maybe incorrect however.

Also, while I know it is par for the course to knock Cgris' stuff down a peg, I will admit it is obvious he did put a lot of time and attention into this, so props to that. He deserves some kudos from other LEGO enthusiasts.

However, we know Chris from a much wider angle and realize while it's certainly something, the fact that he wasted that much time and energy (and also the possibility of funds if the weens didn't actually spend $500-$700 on him) when he REALLY needs to be focusing on more than toys and his own deluded image of a high school that never was.
