So this is why we got the lego video

the plot thickens

chris my man lego has thousands of potential spokesmen, many of them psychologically imbalanced manchildren, many of whom actually own deodorant

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

is anyone else really bugged out by his repetitive use of words? like "encouraged fully and more fully" or "often decorated around schools anyway, and education is most fundamental anyway"?

I never really followed TMNT. I didn't realize one of them was named Venus de Milo. It all makes sense now.

It's from a short-lived live-action version of TMNT ('The Next Mutation') showed in the late 90s. It's the least well-recieved iteration of the Ninja Turtles franchise ever.

Chris seems to have an affinity for the worst versions of things, like Sonic Underground or the Filmation Ghostbusters.

I Know the theme is supposed to be "Holiday", but Holiday cheer is often decorated around schools anyway, and education is most fundamental anyway.

"I don't feel like following your theme, and I really just want to show off my high school fantasy. What I want to do is most fundamental, anyway."
This is why his entry will be disqualified. And then he'll rage, despite having willfully broken the rules.
I'm pretty sure they have a limit on how old you should be when entering this contest somewhere...

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

Slightly off-topic, but yesterday I encountered the Lego Friends high school set in-person.

Needless to say, it was very difficult to contain my laughter.

Not sure if stains or if mice are chewing small holes into his clothes

Those are tear stains.

Corrosive tear stains.

Tears of ... battery acid?

Wow. I knew his diet was bad, but I didn't know it was *that* bad...

There are only so many newspapers to cover up the dog piss.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

**I Know the theme is supposed to be Holiday, but I'm just going to enter this thing I built months ago and lie about the date I created it instead of making something new for the contest I supposedly care so much about.

LOL. So lazy. So entitled.

Re: FB 11/7/13: Chris wants Lego to notice him.

"I know the theme is supposed to be holiday, but schools sometimes put up holiday decorations--not that I bothered doing that with mine, but I mean, come on, use your imagination, people."

Yeah, the sudden cut in the video might be have been a part where Chris spoke about how he had used Lego's competitors products on the model. He must have realized how that would look and cut it out.

Also... People have started commenting on his piece... Man, people are really nice to him in the site. I can see him uploading more stuff there due to all the praise he's getting.

Which is hilarious because unless Lego minifigs have started to have rotating arm and leg joins, his own minifig "avatar" in pcs one and two is a knockoff model. And again, although I haven't bought LEGOs is years, I'm pretty sure half of the stuff in pic 5 is knockoff stuff too. I maybe incorrect however.

Also, while I know it is par for the course to knock Cgris' stuff down a peg, I will admit it is obvious he did put a lot of time and attention into this, so props to that. He deserves some kudos from other LEGO enthusiasts.

However, we know Chris from a much wider angle and realize while it's certainly something, the fact that he wasted that much time and energy (and also the possibility of funds if the weens didn't actually spend $500-$700 on him) when he REALLY needs to be focusing on more than toys and his own deluded image of a high school that never was.

I'm sure that Lego appreciates the obscene amount of money he spent to build that gaily colored abortion.

Another thing... even if this were an acceptable bending of the rules, he didn't even put up any holiday shit in the school. Are viewers just supposed to "imagine" that the thing follows the theme?

Well he COULD have put them up. That's the important part.
