Apparently Chris has exactly one of those violins, made by Framus, with a label that says "Antonius Stradiuarius Copy Faciebat Anno 1721" because that's something Framus used to do. And they did it a lot, because there are quite a few other auctions of their violins where those listers also diligently copied down the label verbatim, archaic spelling and all, just like Chris did (because there's no way in hell he'd have come up with "Faciebat Anno" on his own). Those listings just didn't have a horde of weens poking ebay over every little thing in them though.(And yes, obviously you can find violins with fake "Made by Stradivarius" labels, on the inside. But advertising one of those as a "Stradivarius copy" kinda goes against the whole scamtastic idea, to put it there in he first place: To make money off suckers who think it's genuine...)
