A couple people I know who stream and upload videos to YouTube are also losing their partnership with Curse today. The difference here is that they knew about it because Curse emailed them several weeks ago letting them know they were being cut loose, so they also emailed Phil. Either he ignored it, didn't get the email, or just wasn't paying attention. This should not have come as a surprise to him, he'd have had several weeks to prepare and find a new network to partner with.

It's possible this was the "something may be initiated against me" issue.

It's almost definite at this stage.
When he said that shit and I looked into Curse employees had left and there was "word on the street" that shit was going down hill.

He already knew this or got caution of it, emailed them and thought that he stood a chance of appealing it.

Reality is that Curse probably generates 0.000001% income for Twitch (Twitch owns Curse if you're not aware) as a whole and I wouldn't be surprised if they're killing the entire company or dropping everyone besides their most profitable handful (5-10) streamers.

Last time DSP was suspended from Twitch he vaguely implied YouTube Red/Gaming would be an alternative option.

Given DSP is banned from AdSense for life, can he still get a YouTube gaming/Superchat account or is he also banned from that?

Yeah, receiving Superchats only requires you to be a YT partner.

Youtube would automatically reject him because they don't want his ass.

returns different results to
phil burnell (which is what screenshot now shows)

Anyway, it doesn't matter because search results change depending on geography and past searches. Bottom line is if you search Phil Burnell without any other information you get autism.
