2018-07-20 Curse Drops DSPGaming - It just doesn't make (Ad)Sense...

How long will it take for this to get fixed with no work from DSP?

DSP soliciting invalid click activity.
:offtopic: I'm not a huge fan of how you can be permanently blacklisted without recourse from a monopoly platform for something stupid you did 9 years ago. Yes, I know Google/Youtube are entirely within their rights here, and yes, I know there are plenty of other things in the past 9 years DSP could be called to account for. But I think once you reach monopoly status you should have to behave more like credit bureaus do, and have offenses "age out" after a certain time limit.

They're not a monopoly though. The ads I see on the sites I visit aren't AdSense, they're "the other" services.

The vid above this post shows Dave telling viewers to "click on the ads that show up in the videos". I give to you a vid where Dave talks about his being banned from the Adsense program for 'invalid click activity'. I'm sure he has no recollection of saying any of this either.

EDIT:
Oops, the 1st part of him speaking about this starts at 1:13

I understand where you're coming from, but I think that in his case the years he's spent obfuscating the truth and blaming his ban on "detractors making his 'shower video' go viral" etc. makes his seem appropriate.

I can't help but compare DSP to OPL in that there's this inability to accept permanent consequences from their actions (DSP's firing from multiple MCNs, ban on AdSense; OPL's multiple GameStop and shopping mall bans) as well as the severe, detrimental physical and mental effects of prolonged isolation on their well-being. As well as the drinking, of course.

I mean, them's the breaks. Google have every right to ban you for violating their T&Cs, if you don't want to GTAB, don't flout the rules. Thousands of other Youtubers do it every day without a problem, only DSP seems to have these nightmarish scenarios come up regularly. Wonder why that is?

What's more amazing is that it's taken THIS long for it to happen, and DSP himself isn't really banned at all, he's still making (admittedly much less) money on KOGaming, which in itself is flouting the rules.

and thats not even the tip of the iceberg!

The gout prince has bestowed new lore upon us! He's really running fast down this new path of "Invalid Click Activity only consists of clicking one's own ads, or the deployment of bots." So, now, he's opening the door to the possibility that he *may* have told people to click on ads back in 2009, but that doesn't matter because... AdSense was structured completely differently back then. It's ancient history! He assured us that no matter what he may have urged people to do, he never got punished for it anyways. You're spinning conspiracy theories if you think any such audio (if it exists!) is relevant.
Pertinent enough to crosspost here. Felipe's flight from the truth is like a race from the sunset. He can't win.

Let the age-out time for offenses be 15 years, for no other reason than our amusement.

The concept of "aging out" offenses is interesting to me. Does he think if he fucked up at a job so bad they fired him they'd let him work for them again after enough time passed? Hell no, there's no value to putting a component back into a machine once you determine that component negatively effects a machine.

thanks for fucking subbing.png

So it would appear, he was already the beneficiary of an inadvertent aging out.
(I knew I wasn't crazy. This took a minute to find.)

I guess dave said he’s making 2 dollars a day off of KOgaming. So he’s cheating the system right? I’m not full on how this works but he’s banned from Adsense and not with an MCN, so he’s got to have another dummy account linked to KOgaming right? Which is against the TOS
I've checked Kogaming twice just clicking around on videos and maybe have gotten 2 ads and they were both right at the beginning. Someone had a screen shot of the last Kat stream and he had ads all over that shit, but once one starts on Kogaming there are 0 yellow bars on a video over an hour.

You are right and I don't understand how he is getting away with this either. You would think when he was flagged or whatever they would look and see he has three channels under 2-3 adsense accounts, depending on if Kogaming and Kohvlogs share one or not. Maybe it is getting looked into or maybe Phil is just too street smart for those ivy league book smart nerds.

Views, views, views, I don't wanna be Mr Views!

Two interesting, albeit predictable trends from his first few days on KOGaming.
- His views are way up from what they were on DSPGaming. Still shit, but they seem to be higher.
- Even after a few days the views are on a significant downward trend. 1.2k viewers dropped off between the 1st and 2nd parts of GTA. Quality kahntent!
That to me says he had a shot at enticing some lapsed subs from KOGaming back, but he chased them all off by greedily spamming videos as always to start with, and with his terrible videos. We all knew this already, but it's still interesting to see in black and white.
