8chan will probably get a large increase in traffic just because it's notable. But I think there will be a lot of fragmentation and a lot of moderators across the internet pulling some all-nighters. Truthfully, the latter is probably beneficial to the hardcore /pol/-users, they'll have a bigger reach.
