Well, I've lived long enough to see not only an unironic 4chan pass but now, an actual 4chan account. Absolutely hilarious, would be even funnier if there were any reliable alternatives to cuckchan. 8chan(or the site wearing it's skin) had an uptick in traffic recently thanks to Gamergate 2, but the first thing that the pedos on that site did was to create a "containment board" for them. God forbid their little hugbox gets any newblood or added PPH. Hell, all that's left on their main /v/ board is an endless amount of CP, something that 4chan seems to be able to clean up relatively quickly for all it's flaws.

I'm glad I am just straight up done with imageboards. I gave 4chan another shot too many times when it didn't deserve it, and 8chan has been dead for years. Any smaller alternatives are shit for their own reasons and never get any serious traffic, other than maybe building a small niche community for a particular hobby or fandom.
Got to wonder, if there is yet another exodus from 4chan, where can the refugees be expected to go? We have a /biz/ like subforum, for example, I'm guessing we might see a few new users that way. What other alternatives are there for their users?
Also, this is 100% getting implemented site wide at some point. They even mentioned "/biz/ and other boards" on their page right now even tho it only impacts /biz/. Be ready to get a bullshit ban...that you can avoid by buying a 4chan pass or making a 4chan account! Of course, no guarantees the jannies won't just ban you again for no reason even then!

We've got a live (edit: thread got jannied as I was typing up this post) one, folks.
There's been this recurring schizo on /v/ who searches the archives for the image attached to any post who disagrees with him, and posts a screenshot of the results as if they're all the same person, even when it has dozens of uses across years with different filenames. If that doesn't work, he'll search a word or phrase from the post instead (he didn't even know how to do this correctly in the past, but still tried anyway), always referring to it as "buzzwords" even when it's just a combination of regular words like "stupid republicans".

You can tell it's him (besides from his distinctive mannerisms) because he always leaves in the filename when he starts spamming a thread with these screenshots, revealing that he's:
>a mobileposter
>uses le shill lion browser
>CDT/CST timezone

And always has the same screen width of 1080p.
It's almost always in culture wars threads, but there seems to be one exception...
Furry threads.
You're probably thinking "oh, he's just yelling at the furfags for being degenerates, right?"
Wrong!
He's only yelling at them for posting the wrong type of furry porn. So much for our supposed "based shill destroyer", it looks like he's not really in much of a place to be calling others fags anywhere near as much as he's been doing.

This is an example of what I mentioned earlier about the HMoFAgs getting more uppity, all throughout their posts (including when you're able to tie their posts on other topics back to their community, like here) you'll notice a very strong trend of them genuinely believing that everyone who doesn't like them is genuinely all the same person.
They also tend to assume all of their haters are actually just butthurt furfags, even the ones who're just mocking them for posting furry porn and spamming their catchphrase ("she looks like she fucks human men") everywhere. The amount of projection involved in thinking that you're not a furry for posting furry porn, the guy laughing at you is the real furry, is honestly hilarious, but I found something even funnier...

A very common insult they use is calling anyone they don't like a cuckold (they constantly bring it up out of nowhere to a suspicious degree), but they also made up a term for the seething furfag strawman they depict all of their opponents as: "furboys/furbois". If you actually look into this term, after you sort through all the times it's used in an accusatory manner during slapfights, you'll find something fascinating. These furries-in-denial who constantly accuse others of being cucks... have written a not-insignificant amount of cuckold erotica centered around emasculating these effeminate "furboys". I'm not talking about shitposts written in a comedic tone to mock them, it's genuinely a recurring theme in their normal pornographic content (mostly judging the writing, since it's much easier to search for keywords without having to deep dive into their degeneracy, I assume it's similar with their art though) ; they get off to this shit.

It really puts things into perspective, realizing just how much projection is involved when they start spouting the same set of insults at the latest post that called them obnoxious. There'd definitely be enough material for a thread on them, if not for the inherent difficulties involved with cataloguing a community mostly centered around an anonymous platform, not to mention the only way to get consistent milk from the real core of it would be to actively lurk their furry porn threads instead of hunting for stragglers on other boards, so it probably wouldn't be viable.

How convenient, with IP counters gone there's now bad actors discrediting the other way people track repetitive posters

It reminds me of how hard discussion of actual state-/NGO-sponsored shill campaigns on /pol/ got derailed when r/the_donald redditards flooded in and turned it into their new buzzword. Don't like Trump missile-striking Syria? Yeah, that's clearly because you're a communist antifa chinese correct the record SHILL! SHILL SHILL SHILL SHILL SHILL!
What do you mean "/pol/ users generally don't support israel?" That's a shareblue lie, look I have the totally real discord logs to prove it!!!

What are you talking about? sh[are]bl[ue]warrior is totally a real account, people totally name their entire online presence after organizations they're only being sponsored by and aren't properly a part of themselves. The demonrats totally set their avatars to the first image I found by googling "anti trump poster" and didn't bother to crop properly! N-no, you can't see the rest of the server, it's totally not a one-off post I made in my personal server using a sock, it's totally an entire real server that I simply cannot reveal without exposing myself!

Not only did the ability to have quality discussion nosedive, but discussions of REAL CTR/JIDF/Alphabet Soup/etc attempts at narrative control became basically impossible. The board never recovered from this (these screenshots STILL circulate unironically) and it kickstarted the whole "make a fake discord and blame it on people you disagree with" trend, most notably seen on /v/ and /vp/. Let it be a lesson that there is no such thing as a "based" redditor, it does not matter if they initially seem culturally or ideologically adjacent, or if they were kicked out of reddit for being "too based", they are ALWAYS an inferior, outright parasitic version of whatever community they claim to represent (this even goes for lefty ones). It wasn't just T_D either, /r9k/ went from flawed-but-not-unsalvageable to outright unusable after the r/incels exodus too.

Josh, for all his faults, has the right idea with the whole "lock down registration after any kind of reddit exodus long enough for the predditor locusts to lose interest and fuck off" idea, and it's something literally every webmaster on the entire non-reddit internet should follow his lead on.

You might think you hate Redditors enough, but you don't. Total Redditor Death.

Bone chilling statistic. It makes a strong argument for rolling out sitewide
I don't disagree that /biz/ is bot central, but that statistic also includes everyone who isn't posting anymore because they refuse to give 4chan their email to post on one of the shittiest boards.
If a board cannot exist in a state that fits the central principles of how the site operates, then it shouldn't exist anymore. Compromising to try and save a crap board past its prime won't suddenly put it into a golden age, and will alienate a large portion of your userbase. Boards have been deleted before, and in my opinion it should be done more. /trash/, /r9k/, /lgbt/, and /adv/ all deserve the chopping block, and the balkanized vidya boards should be consolidated a bit more. Making a bunch of pointless new boards while kicking the can of dying old boards further down the road helps nothing. The mods' refusal to trim off dying branches in favor of planting new weeds around the flowerbed is killing this site.

/pol/tards are incapable of accepting the fact that people can have opinions that don't correlate with their own, so anyone that doesn't share the same opinion with them is a "hohol, vatnik, kike, JIDF, glowie, chink shill, tranny, /leftypol/ shill, etc etc". Sadly this mindset has spread to other boards.

/pol/ and /tv/ are both overgrown weeds that need napalm, they've effectively put the entire site in a chokehold wiping out board cultures and spreading aggrivated schizoids everywhere.

Shamelessly stolen from rdrama, but mathchan has a good captcha for keeping out normies and bots. Makes me think of what other creative ways to keep normies and plebs from other alt chans a way of keeping them from going to shit or spammed by pedos
There are some forums that make you answer questions about the topic at hand to sign up, so perhaps that could work with the questions adjusted for each board.

It's not a forum or board, but lichess has a relatively simple mate in 1 as their captcha.

Not only is Mathchan dead, but the one time I posted there I learned the captcha isn't dynamic, and I was able to repeatedly try to answer before succeeding by pure guesswork.
