How long before "Sorbet-chan" makes his glorious debut in Cwcville?

He will be yet another Christine avatar.

I'm claiming that we have no reason to believe Sorbet has health issues.

I was going to write something about you being wrong about the cats health issues, but then decided against it because I realized that telling you would be a waste of everyone's time.

I'm still choosing to believe that Sorbet joined up with Karen Rapp and ran away to a tropical island resort where they became the hotel pets.

I was under the impression the cat was injured or something. If he is perfectly healthy (his eye looks pretty gnarly to be honest) then he should be fine outside. It's not the dead of winter so he's not freezing to death. If he's outside and not crushed by a box of useless shit then he's probably okay.
You’re kind of proving my original point about the disconnect between how people generally rate the survival ability of cats and the reality. “Probably okay” might be an accurate description of a cat going outdoors as part of a daily routine, but that glosses over the significant risk involved. We don’t need to imagine the harm that could befall Sorbet on an otherwise clement day, he’s already been severely injured in a road accident :(. In any case, he’s been missing more than a week, a situation for which there isn’t precedent. I’m not sure “probably okay” is a fair assessment at this point.

I admit I wasn't aware of the car hitting him. He's probably dead. His eye looked pretty nasty but then again some cats are pretty resilient. We have no idea but honestly I still lean towards he's dead. My current cats would probably fare pretty poorly given they spend almost all their time indoors. My cats back in South Texas are dead but from old age. They ran outdoors pretty much 90 percent of the time. We'd let them in for a couple hours or when it was really bad in the winter.

I would assume the Chandler home is a biohazard so it's better for the cats to be outside in fresh air than in that god awful mess.

So I guess I'm the only one making pretend parallels to Milo & Otis, then? Not the happiest that could happen, but anything's better for Sorbet, I guess.

I've got to wonder, if the eye was blown out; why not just have it removed along with the paw that couldn't be mended?

Enucleation surgery in felines can cost anywhere from $200 to $1,000, and the recovering eye socket needs to be closely monitored post-surgery and kept clean to keep from being infected. The eye looks fucked up, but as long as it's actually not bringing harm or discomfort to the kitty, most owners just let it be, and the cat doesn't mind either way. It was most likely brought up in the vet's office when Sorbet was brought in after the accident, and Chris knew it wasn't going to be an option with his financial history.

I've got to wonder, if the eye was blown out; why not just have it removed along with the paw that couldn't be mended? Seeing cats with one or both lids forever welded shut due to injury or illnesss breaks my heart, but looking at the pictures of Sorbet, I feel somehow worse seeing that one bulbous, discolored eye - because I wonder if the poor cat is in pain (just because he can't see out of it, doesn't mean it's not affecting him, you know?)
Presumably his attending vet didn’t think there was a surplus of benefit to removing his eye. His gammy paw was likely causing him pain and/or presented an infection risk.

Anyone know if that 8-ball of an eye would still function in any capacity?

So what's going on with this dude who pretended to have sorbet? Can y'all start adding some True and Honest content to the goddamn OPs already. Having to flip through 10 pages of debating over the cats health just to find the interesting shit is annoying.

He got outed as a Halal faggot and all new content is in his thread

I've got to disagree with @Marvin on Sorbet not having health problems. Healthy cats don't wheeze and "make snorting sounds" when they breathe. I also have to disagree with the notion that Chris is fit to be a cat owner. Chris is lazy, incompetent, and extremely negligent. Are cats fairly easy to take care of? Yes. But cats being kept mostly indoors as pets still need more than just food and water. The Chandler cats rarely have their litter box(es) cleaned, their living environment is filthy, they live in a house where dogs piss and shit on the floor, they only ever see the vet when they are either hurt or seriously ill, they don't get their shots...that simply isn't good pet care. That isn't even mediocre pet care. "Food and water" isn't even the bare minimum for an indoor cat. Chris is simply too negligent to properly care for any pet.

If I could bombard your comment with all the up votes, I would.

If it wasn't for the visual evidence that showed how little care CWC had for pet upkeep; that video where CWC stared blankly into the camera as one (both?) of his dogs howled in what sounded like pain confirmed my belief that CWC isn't a considerate/rsponsible pet owner. Even if the howling was a common occurrence in his house, you'd expect a person to immediately get up and investigate what the issue was - just to make sure everything was fine. CWC just sat there for a minute or two before finally getting up and checking on them.

Really the most cats generally need are food, water, clean litter box, flea treatment, and routine shots. If you can't cover those basic needs, along with a clean environment for obvious reasons, you have no business owning animals.

Chris also thinks it's normal for a cat to growl, bite, and hiss at you when you pick them up. While most don't like it, they won't outright try to attack you for it. They'll usually just protest being picked up by meowing and struggling to get out of your arms.

This is how great a cat owner Chris is.

Exactly. While cats will often bite or claw in a playful way, when it's biting and clawing (especially their back claws in a kicking movement) along with hissing and growling, then it's the cat saying "Hey fucktard, I don't like that! Knock off the bullshit, you're pissing me off!" But Baby Huey Chris just says "Oh, ha ha! Kitty playing!" And there have been at least a couple recorded instances of Chris' cats acting that way around him. Growing up around cats, I've only seen them act that way for one reason: a young child who didn't know any better was being too rough with them.

lets not forget the times where he yelled at his pets during his live streams.

The Chandler cats rarely have their litter box(es) cleaned,

14BLC is the huge litter box.

they live in a house where dogs piss and shit on the floor

See? You said so yourself later in the sentence.

they only ever see the vet when they are either hurt or seriously ill

I do the same with my cats. Cats do not need to see the vet that often.

"Food and water" isn't even the bare minimum for an indoor cat.

Maybe not an indoor cat, but an outdoor cat, fuck yes it is. Marvin has mentioned before that cats absolutely love Hoarder houses. There are all these nooks and crannies for the cats to tunnel around. All the cockroaches and mouses for them to find and eat. Clover and Snoopy has just pissed/shit in this spot? Go piss/shit in the next. There are probably plenty of windows with comfortable spots good for them chilling during a sunset.

And while I wouldn't say Sorbet is in "good" health, its still pretty obvious something is wrong with him. But keep in mind, animals don't care as much as a human would. I had an old cat who actually had the same incident Sorbet had, where a car smashed into his head, blinded the eye on that side, and the cat ran away for a good four days. He came back that night, face covered in dirt and wood (we presumed he did that to stop his bleeding eye) and mouth slack-jawed and clearly ready to come back home to recover from his accident.

He was 12 years old and lived for another 20 months or so.

And as for Kitty hissing. Maybe Kitty hates Chris, but we don't even know what Kitty thought of Barb. Barb was the owner of the cats in the first place.

And finally, there is Lucy, who's fucking ancient at this point, but isn't she still kicking?

14BLC is the huge litter box.

See? You said so yourself later in the sentence.

And just like humans who hate the idea of using an unflushed toilet that's filled to the brim with waste, a cat would hate using a litter box that hasn't been emptied in awhile. It smells awful; and having to walk in that literal crap? It's unsanitary!

You wouldn't want to use a filthy toilet; why would you expect a cat to use a filthy litter box - whether that litter box is an actual literal box or an entire house that serves as one.

I do the same with my cats. Cats do not need to see the vet that often.

Checkups once a year or so to keep them up to date on their shots. That's the least you can do for them outside of emergencies.

Marvin has mentioned before that cats absolutely love Hoarder houses.

Marvin may own a couple of cats, himself - but with assumptions like that, he doesn't come off as an expert on cat habitual preferences to me. More like someone trying to defend CWC's lack of proper pet care.

The best kind of living environment for cats consists of regular meals, high places to perch on (the more and the higher, the better), things to scratch on and cat toys that promote play/socializing. A hoarder house that is filled with unchanged animal mess pads sounds like an absolute nightmare for a cat to live in - let alone anyone.

Speaking of nightmares - that scenario you shared about that eldery cat. That's just horrifying! I hope you you had the sense to take him to a vet to get his injuries seen to instead of leaving him as he was because 'cats don't care as much as a human would'.
