The bosses health was obviously beefed up or the players damage was weakened so they could make an event out of it.

And you don’t have to go into the menu as they said, there will be shortcut options.
Doubt that about the bosses health. I mean if you have proof I'd like to see it but that sounds like a desperate excuse. One way or another it didn't make the presentation an event, it made it a chore. And okay, so hack and slash fans are pleased I guess, great. Still leaves turn based people out (you know, the fans who originally played Final Fantasy VII) but I guess the Final Fantasy VII reboot just isn't for them. Maybe I just don't see the point in cashing in on nostalgia if you're going to deliver an entirely different experience, but hey the RE2 reboot was popular so what do I know? Gamers like shiny things that move fast these days, I guess turn based just isn't hip enough (But cashing in on 20 year old stories is apparently).

I guess if you're so excited about it you can enjoy buying 2-3 games worth of Final Fantasy VII in the future. Square Enix is happy to cash in on your nostalgia. Me personally though, as someone who still owns his original copy from when the game came out in 1997... Yeah I'll give the reboot a pass.

We get it. Square-Enix touched you in your sleep. Calm down.

Eh it's one of those games that you love it or hate it. I grew up with it but never played it myself so I'm looking forward to it. You know Phil will play it regardless and honestly, it's one of those games you should really want to play it yourself and not watch him play it.

Don't let him tarnish it. I really just want to know if he will slip out a typical Phil about Tifa's tits. Wait, he's married and a mature adult now.

I mean if pretending I'm outraged just because I'm stating logical issues that were present in the presentation is what you want to do than go for it. Pardon me for not hopping on the hype train, I know, 60 lashes how dare I not just say a 20 minute boss fight filled with cutscenes every few minutes looked good. I should be one of those people clapping every time I see something I recognize.

The E3 thread is literally right here, fag.

I mean the proof is it’s a presentation show. They do this all the time with events like this and trailers, the numbers are never off and the characters often have moves they shouldn’t, they are attempting to hype you up and show off a lot of gameplay in a confined space, not reveal every boss in the game just to show off a few moves.

And that’s fair, it is what it is, it’s be pretty clear from the start this wasn’t just a remake, it’s a heavy reimagining of the game, including the gameplay. I’m not sure why you’re acting like this is something surprising, it’s been known since basically the announcement it’s heavily action based. Final fantasy stopped being games for turn based fans quite some time ago sadly

is it me or during his square-enix press conference coverage, did he just completly ignore the Kingdom Hearts 3 dlc? extra baffling because he felt the need to mention to Life is Strange segment but not that. if pigroach doesn't mention it, it didn't exist dood.

btw nintendo didn't do anything for e3 dood

He loves Life is Strange. No true loss condition, comparatively easy puzzles so he doesn't look too stupid and controversial enough among gamers so as to generate its own hype.

He'd only like it more if it played itself.

Self playing video games? Is that a thing? If it was it'd probably be overpriced but he'd probably blow his money on it regardless.

Not sure what to say but WHYAMITOXIC

Typical Phil fashion to shit on one of the most popular Twitch streamers while he's down(temporarily). Sounds like another ProJared pop-off, though indirect.

I would like to add more but I know there's a tweet out there so please someone phil me in here. There is a clip of Phil talking about if someone filmed him in the bathroom in that scenario, that he would pretty much beat their asses.

edit: Found it. It's a tweet so I apologize.

Not that I care but did he mention anything about Banjo in smash? Or is smash dead to him because he doesn't get paid and sucks at the game?

Hit the nail on the head there boss, pretty much exactly what he said. Doesn't see why he should pay for banjoe because it's just fan service, and smash is basically done for him.

dsp in all seriousness said nobody cares about smash anymore, its been out a long time. maybe someone should tell him people still play the old smash games and old nintendo games in general

Phil doesn't realize not everyone can buy every new game that comes out, he assumes it's a basic human necessity. It's beyond his imagination that someone would enjoy a video game for more than the time it takes them to speed run it. Gamers don't have time for that dood.

dave refernces that Life is Strange segment...no he mentions literally every game from the Squeenix press conference EXCEPT the Kingdom Hearts 3 dlc. he hated that game. its not his fault the plot made no since dood. they shouldn't have made so many side games no one cares about ack ack ack.

because everyone knows unless its a numbered entry in the series, its a side game and therefore not important.
