Haven't read through the replies past the feature, but this is a surprisingly common thing over the last few years (the furries in public schools thing, not the actual protests to it). Slight powerlevel here, I was in High School in or around 2016, there was a dedicated furry autist clique that wore cat ears and meowed at random passerbys, I had a buddy who barked at them once (as a joke) and they all broke down crying and my buddy got sent to the Principal because of it. Fast forward to now, a coworker of mine who had a kid who goes to the same school that I did attested that - despite the original members of that clique being long gone and having graduated years ago - that clique still exists, and it's been expanding. It goes beyond run-of-the-mill furfaggotry, it's straight up teenagers larping as animals in day to day life. One story from that coworker's kid involved a peer of his, a teenager - around 16 or 17 - crawling up on a desk, curling up like a dog does in it's bed, and barking to himself while sleeping in the middle of class. His words were "The teacher told us to be as quiet as possible or it would be a write up. You try not laughing when that shit's happening two seats over." Personally, I'm just perplexed how it all got this far to begin with.
