Recording someone without their consent is illegal (aside from like news and such, I think) but the way it sounds it'd be pretty hard not to record the Yanivs doing something, given that they're constantly yelling and fighting and fighting/running at people around the building. Somebody living in their building is liable to record them fighting while videoing their pet, especially if they're a direct neighbor.

This is absolutely wrong. Even in Canada a third party can record a private conversation if the recording party could naturally overhear the conversation.

Interesting thing is that one of the few ways Yaniv could destroy himself is by suing someone in a real court, losing and getting nailed with court costs that bankrupt him.

It's like how Oscar Wilde wrecked his life by suing the Marquess of Queensberry for libel for calling him a 'sodomite'. Queensberry's lawyers proved the accusation was true and Wilde was bankrupted.

So you can destroy yourself if you sue someone for libel when they make a damning accusation, they prove the truth of the accusation and you end up paying their court costs.

Nothing @WGkitty has said is untrue and Canada is one party consent for recordings. I suspect the one being bankrupted and evicted would be Yaniv, given that everyone in the strata hates him.

At this point Yaniv is worse than Chris is. Chris is a moron and can be a dick sometimes. However he comes no where close to the incompetent maliciousness of Yaniv.
