I just checked that out, and it turns out searching this name pulls up a lot of unrelated dickheads who are as unoriginal as I am. Having said that, I think it would be hilarious if someone were to pull up the Facebook profile and tell me "THIS IS YOU, SHITLORD!"

Wouldn't get much out of reverse-image searching my profile pics, unless someone out there is honestly stupid enough to think I really am Joakim Brodén, frontman of the Swedish metal band Sabaton and amateur WWI/WWII historian. You do get a few posts linking straight back to here, though.

That's the trick: use a somewhat unique username, preferably something difficult to Google, and never use anything that can be tied back to you in any way.

I'm "Wally Balljacker" here and here only. Everywhere else, I'm ████████.

If you're still unsure about how easy it is for someone to get enough about you just by viewing your posts on the 'Farms, I present to you, Something Sensitive, a dedicated forum full of butthurt ex-SomethingAwful members who work round-the-clock to dox moderators, such as Zeitgueist, The Finn, Senior Woodchuck, Ozma, the infamous persona non grata, Aatrek. All of this information was gathered just by flipping through their posts (which costs ~ $30 dollars to do on SA)

If this collective herd of autists can pull this off, imagine what would happen if enough enough angry spergs get together to fuck with the 'Farms.

Well, checking over everything, I appear to be pretty safe. At worst, someone will be able to figure out which other sites I go to, and use that info to ruin my internet reputation. But, if that happens, I deserve it for joining this sort of site in the first place.

That's pretty interesting., it only brought up a GaiaOnline account from around 8 years ago and an unused Pinterest. (None of the facebooks were mine) I get much more info from just using Google.

I wouldn't worry about getting doxxed, I don't use this name anywhere else. Besides, I'm more of a fringe user, so that makes me a lower priority for the most part.

Also, I've always compartmentalized things I do on the internet, so that my activities are more difficult to trace to each other. Different usernames, launch codes, etc. This is just common sense and everyone should do this.
