Bringing this back up, because good ol' Diaz is at it again!

Yesterday, Aaron Diaz posted this tweet (which has since been deleted, but the internet never forgets):

Now for context, Will Eisner is the creator of such comics like 'The Spirit', and graphic novels like 'A Contract with God'. There is even a prestigious award in the comics community named after him, and many people in the comics world -of various genders, beliefs, talents, etc.- hold Eisner in extremely high esteem for the work he did in paving the way for comics to be taken seriously as an artform outside of cape comics.

Will Eisner is also Jewish.

The backdraft against Diaz last night from both the professional comics and the webcomics communtiy was swift and furious (even though to the pros, he is a 'Literally Who'. Either way, this one remark may have cost him his reputation with the Big Leagues. Bonus: Moviebob runs his mouth in this as well.), complete with people calling him out for antisemitism, which was a pretty bad -and very real- thing during the time Eisner was alive. Eisner was also drafted to fight in the Second World War and fought on the frontlines. Diaz drafted himself into the internet war against *~sexism~* and has never had to lift anything other than a tablet stylus and his own massively over inflated ego-filled head.

People even on Tumblr also took him to task for the antisemitism in his remark as well.

And just how, pray tell, did Diaz respond to this?

Like any sensible, mature adult would d---

And I thought I was insulting this piece of shit by comparing him to Andrew Dobson, when it's Dobson who should feel insulted by the comparison.

I think it's unprotected again.

Well, at least he apologized, but the fact of the matter is that he still jammed both his feet in his mouth with that one.

Look at that non-apology. Notice how he didn't apologize about calling Eisner mediocre, only for "implying" that he was white.

He's not sorry for anything other than the fact he was caught. He thought his e-peen was big enough that he could put down a comic legend unabated. What a faggot.

He'd be just as much of a piece of shit if Will Eisner was a WASP.

He's just the left-wing equivalent of one of those stupid fucks who attacks some random Sikh after a terrorist attack in the mistaken belief that he's a Muslim.

Yeah, he's apologizing for "accidentally" calling Eisner white, not for insulting him. And how does he cover for this? By claiming he was really trying to insult Jack Kirby for being white.

Seriously, what a piece of shit.
Eisner's heritage is eastern European and he is white. So once again, Diaz shows his ignorance for an industry he wants to get into.

It's worth pointing out that Jack Kirby's original name was Jacob Kurtzberg, and he grew up in a poor, Jewish, immigrant family in the same time period as Eisner. So literally nothing changed when he shifted targets in his "apology".

Yep. Lots of comic book legends were Jewish. If I recall correctly, weren't the creators of Captain America Jewish?

Yes Joe Simone and Jack Kirby are both Jewish but I think with how you worded this you're thinking of Superman. Superman was a metaphor for Jewish immigrants coming from EU and how they could truly live better lives in america. So he's usually the Jewish iconic character even if they never really made Supes Jewish.
