so they are minor or major who chew me when i just to try to play like in wolverine or the new Gears of War

The only time they give you advice is reminding you not to die because you're literally the most important pilot in the war.

Its straight up 'we'll sacrifice every other pilot we have to make sure you live to do more cool shit'

Gotta ask, how did the Sotoans manage to have an air force on par with Belkan War-era Belka in terms of skill even though we've never even heard of them before? Is it ever explained in Aces At War?

Shadow 22 seems so school shooter like, that they put the worst aspects of Crimson 1 and Abyssal Dision into a blender. I absolutely love the stupidity.

Also the Assault Horizon DNA makes me cringe, why did they take the press button to interact from that especially in cutscenes.

Guys is the game woke? Like does it has any faggotry like stronk lesbians and Muh racism? Should i buy it? I liked AC7
The story is more of 7's pro-globalist propaganda, there's even a level where you fight against anti-globalist conspiracy theorist enemies, but that's par for the course with Ace Combat stories. Can't have the protagonists be too patriotic.

yeah in my interpretation overall so far it's about as 'stinky' in those aspects as ac7 but with more niggers in it, but it could have definitely been way worse too. I'm gonna give it an ok/10 overall for this part.

Pretty sure one of the seperatist factions defected to the Sotoans because the FCU didn't want to flood the country with Sotoan rapefugees and they're clearly the bad guys

They absolutely would've been one of the countries that wanted to sign away their sovereignty to the Osean globohomo. The biggest wasted potential of AC8's story being about reuniting the FCU is that there's no connection to the Pre-Ulysses USEA rebellion.

yeah aren't they always the bad guys
like not in a "maybe the player is actually working for the real baddies" way but actually just bloodthirsty maniacs or a heart of darkness guy cackling while painting murals with shit on his submarine

maybe it's not propaganda, it's just a videogame about insane people who live on a risk board that's more craters than continents at this point

Even though the actual enemy is a big multinational megacorp, and after they get exposed the conspirators just shift blame and blend into the endless rows of managers and paper pushers. Eventually Enzo Order being taken over by General Resource, and yet another capstone for the megacorp wars of AC3 laid
The story is also exactly what I expected, you're yet again only getting involved when the war is at its most dire, and there's little insight into combat strategy, but this is hardly new for the series, thry pull this every game nearly

Playing through it slowly but the first Retaking Theves mission is my favourite so far for the sheer chaos. The radar is just a wave of LOL RAILGUN INCOMING, your improvised landing forces are screaming, and the orchestral piece gives it a sense of exhilaration that made AC7's early missions with Mihaly and the ADFX-01 drone so damn satisfying. The first land battleship showdown also for the hilarity of it, especially when you can tell the writers and designers for them were aping off of Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak in terms of aesthetics and functionality.

Plus for beautiful meme mashups like this:

I love these things, it's like someone took the P-1000 Ratte and thought "yeah it's utterly retarded - but what if we hand wove away reality?" There's something immensely satisfying about seeing hundreds of thousands of tons worth of guns, metal, and men ride around on tracks without a care in the world. Sotoa: still need to liquidate 'em, but no denying they're living the dream.
That's the mission my X52 decided to finally die on me. The potentiometers died on it so now I got a thrustmaster T16000 in the mail.

Yes yes I know ace combat with a hotas is silly but it's my favorite way to play them and I've played every one of the PS2 titles with one so all my muscle memory is there.

Only this game are the enemies unapologetically evil. The Eruseans in 04 went to war because they were sanctioned by the other countries of Usea for not letting rapefugees into their country, the Yukes went to war because they were manipulated by (((Belkans))), the Belkans went to war because they were scammed by Osea out of their Great Lakes region and because Osea funded independence movements in Belka's eastern territories, the Estovakians went to war because their homeland was blown to shit first by Ulysses then by the civil war, the Leasathians went to war because Navarro was a jew, the Eruseans went to war (again) because they too were manipulated by (((Belkans))), the Usean Rebel Forces went to war because they feared invasive Osean presence which they were vindicated in 7
heart of darkness guy cackling while painting murals with shit on his submarine
This is just Torres

The Aces at War book actually mentions the Emmerians cutting off humanitarian aid to the Stovies post-Ulysses. I'll try finding the page again and transcribing/scanning it.

Are you guys able to play multiplayer without problems? I got the game last night and crashed about 6 times, managing to play 4 multiplayer matches. Played a little campaign which was fun.
