I totally get it. It's the sheer autistic narcissism of the post. The thought that he's completely convinced himself that his cheap plate carrier and plastic insert look like 18lbs of badass body armour, and that he's legitamately putting his life on the line by sitting at home playing super sodjer. It's a fuckin hoot. There's really not many people as humorously self-deluding as Phil.

What gets me is that he keeps at it. He knows we see right through him, yet he persists in trying to make us believe he’s a badass. For literally years he’s been doing this act, and every goddamn time, we laugh at him.
