AI Art Seething General

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I realize this has been said before but once A.I. art has the scope and versatility to replace traditional artist the propaganda arm will extend and it's hand will change the heats and minds of idiots everywhere. There is just too much time and money to be saved and too much control over the end product to be had for things to go any other way.
I can't see it being worse or more soulless than this shit:

Just like how there's people making money off writing AI prompts and touching them up to make them look truly good. If I had an idea and I got an AI to execute it, I am just as much of an artist as a photographer who took a picture of a subject they thought was interesting. Telling an AI to draw a picture of my house is no different than physically drawing my house or taking a picture of it, since it's not the property of whoever made the paint or camera.

There's no away around these pure facts and to say otherwise is the sort of hilarious snobbery that makes me want to remind you to learn to code.
No because Drawing/painting is a completely different skill than taking a picture, the stuff in the picture arent created by the photographer, the framing and composition is.
A piece of art requires complete involvement of the artist from the conception to the end, retouching it a bit doesnt make it your own, you cant just go to twitter, grab someone elses art, fix some parts and claim it as yours, you didnt take part in the mayority of the process to make it.

The day AI starts making gore sonic art I'm fucked, and honestly that's looking to be more and more of a possibility every ti-
bahahaha holy shit kill yourself you fucking faggot!

Or look at yourself in the mirror and strive to turn your life around whatever I won't judge. But right now you're still a fucking faggot lmao

Even as someone who's job may one day involve the word "artist", I find this whole shit-show hilarious. I can sympathize with the people who make their money by commission and fear that this will hurt their buisness, but the ludditetry of many of these people just makes me laugh, tools change, that is the nature of the world. I think AI will end up as a tool similar to how 3D software has eliminated the need to calculate perspective, or lighting.

It's easy to be a doomer about all this, but I'm sure 2D animators got very doomer about the advent of CGI. It's the same copes of "well it can't do X", but eventually it will be able to, so art people need learn to use this new tech instead of destroy it. I know people who already professionally use AI in some capacity, usually as a concepting tool.

What really concerns me is the people trying to destroy AI, the state we're in right now it looks like some cunning Disney copyright lawyer could use this to set a precedent that would strengthen copyright and harm fair use while getting the art world to cheer.

Double post, but to me this is something that the anti-AI art people need to be aware of. With Steamboat Willy about to go into public domain in 2024, you bet Disney and their Jew lawyers will use every trick in the book to strengthen copyright law and weaken fair use. And I'll bet they'll use AI as a scape goat to do it, to 'protect artists' while clueless anti-AI morons champion them until it's too late.

'Haha, suck it drawslave! Should have learned to code instead of learning to draw! '
'Nah, I'll just use AI to generate my code.'
'W-wait no! AI code isn't real code!'
I couldn't imagine being upset at anything that'd make my job easier.
I mean, if I had the job to protect anyway. Paid coders have already been replaced by street shitters; this is why they have the spare time to code a magic anime-boober generator.
