AI Art Seething General

And yet you feel it on a depth that cannot be simulated.

You don't. And even if you did, nobody gives a shit about "soul", they like to pretend like they care, but they don't. All they care about is that the image looks pretty and/or realistic, both of which the AI has already achieved.

People said the same thing about CGI years ago. They still claim it now. While it was a monumental obstacle for CGI to look indistinguishable from reality, plenty of CGI in the modern-day is never noticed. There is nothing to suggest that AI isn't on the same track.

Apparently the dev of a hentai beat em up used Ai for one of his characters. Unsurprising to say fuckers ain’t happy. And based on a few tweets, he hates folks pirating his game but using Ai is hypocritical? I mean, okay, consistency I guess but lol.

The author behind this cinematic has once again come out with another piece and this one is far more impressive than the last.

Presumably he uses the same tools as before, but with an improved workflow. On one of these scenes, the first time I watched it, I genuinely thought he ripped a video game cutscene, before I noticed the far more subtle imperfections. Even the bolter kind of looks like a bolter:

Very impressive. He can create concept art for a few dollars and some hours to spare, where it would take a big budget studio hundreds or perhaps even thousands of man-hours to do the same.

Wait a minute, they posted a video showing the several layers of the image. Normally with AI generators, they don't provide layers at all, and the art was sourced by Limbo Limbo and Xxoom. I don't think this is even AI.

The secret here is that generic coomer art is near indistinguishable from AI.

Like this thing:

A similar situation. This thing has 76k likes and got accused of being AI because it's generic anime coombait that is virtually indistinguishable from it. Though I am reasonably sure the bottom half of the background I cropped out is edited from something, possibly SD generated.

Why does this keep happening? I guarantee it's not entirely art envy like the simps for artists who get accused of it keep saying. It's because AI is trained on and reflecting what the Twitter masses want. None of the AI haters do any introspection on this, it's hilarious.

It'll take them time, but maybe not hundreds/hours. Concept artists shit out images through a variety of techniques that their haters on socmed/DA refer to as "cheating" - often 3d paint overs and photobashing. Gotta deal with industry crunch somehow.

Sounds like it would make sense to paint over an AI generation then for concept purposes, or am I nuts?
Of course it does but you can't or shouldn't admit it tho. At least not yet. Eventually it will become accepted. It's so much more time saving to generate pictures instead of having to look for them.

I'm doing AI art since like 3 years on Artbreeder. I'm an artist but not a good one and I don't have time to learn it because I'm a writer too and use my time to improve my writing. AI art helps me to generate pictures I then use to make my own art. It also helps me to create characters and environments for my book.

It makes a lot of sense to do so. What's the difference between this and taking hallucinogens and other mind expanding substances to look for inspiration?

Considering that some people consider photobashing and paint overs to be "cheating," I doubt it will ever go away completely.

One is degenerate behavior and one annoys "artists".

That's amazing and the tool is free. Thanks for posting that, shits easy to use, memes are incoming

Twitter ””””Artists”””” trying any legal action against AI wont ever lead to anything. What ’income‘ is threatened? The one they won’t even tax?
The music industry has been sampling songs(no less than AI ‘samples‘ images) for decades and no producer is retarded enough to try make a case on it. Because it’s real tough to make an argument on something being ‘stolen’ on the grounds that it’s ‘similiar’. The industry is so oversaturated that millions can have the same idea.
