Aladdin Remake Casting Salt

They should only remake shitty movies that can be made better and quit just remaking shit that is already fine where you should just watch the actual movie instead of some shit-tier ripoff of it.

If you want to make it fun and appealing, just hire a Bollywood crew to do the whole fucking thing.

Exactly. If the movie's good and the actors are good, the leads don't matter. If nothing else, you can probably get a better actor for 10% of the price by hiring a Bollywood star. Save some money and roll the dice on some Indian/Middle-Eastern talent. If people were only going to see this because Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie were the two leads, the movie was a piece of shit anyway.

Edit: Reminder that The Little Mermaid, the movie that basically resurrected Disney's animation studios, had no "big name stars" in it, it was virtually all in-house Disney voice acting talent. So clearly a Disney movie can do fine without big names attached.

And even Beauty and the Beast and Alladin only had one or two big name guest stars, who did not voice main characters (I guess you could argue Genie is a main character idk). It wasn't until The Lion King where every role was some sort of famous celebrity.

This remake is based on Disney's animated film, which was obviously set in a fictionalized Middle East.

Here on Kiwi Farms if SJWs say the grass is green you have to say it's blue. SJWs say this should have middle eastern actors, so you have to want white actors.

So basically he was Uyghur, which I don't think Disney would want to cast. China would ban the movie, which they wouldn't want because it's such a big market.

Also, a pig would make a more attractive Jasmine than any Uyghur woman.

A rare but beautiful Chinese Uyghur actress, Dilraba Dilmurat, is a favorite of mine. But it doesn't matter since they'll probably cast african americans for the roles and turn the movie into desert version of the Annie remake.

SJW's are dumb enough to not care who gets cast as long as they are not white. If south Asians are in it they'd be happy despite them not being Arab. To them all people from Muslim countries are "middle eastern".

Why the hell are they making a live-action Aladdin remake in the first place?

The obvious choice should be the Kardashain siblings. Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney could all take turns playing Jafar, and Rob and Blac Chyna could play Jazmine and Aladdin.

Kim wasn't a too bad Jasmine. But,she'd need a whole CGI team for the acting part. Didn't stop Disney from casting Daisy Ridley though so maybes she in

I kinda disagree. SJWs will never be happy. If they cast some Arab actors it'll be the wrong ones. They'll be from the wrong country. They'll find some questionable thing one of them said 5 years ago and go to town on it. They'll be too stereotypical or not stereotypical enough. Too white looking or too much of a fetishization of the exotic.

It'll be fun.

I see a lot of sperging but little salt here. Time to fix that.

Someone should really point out the fact that a white person screeching about "muh PoC actors and racism" is the last thing a PoC needs. They have voices; let them use them. You aren't punching up if you have to stand on the shoulders of the people you trying to be an ally to.

Fucking hell, I hate identity politics.

Well, people are going to scream no matter who they cast, so I'm looking forward to whenever the announcement is made.
