Ari's little fingers in the hinge of the refrigerator door.

(:_(

This is going to be a really unpopular opinion, but- toddlers need to be allowed to make mistakes that hurt them. Not being crushed to death under a falling television hurt, or pulling a saucepan of boiling water down on top of them hurt, but being whacked by a book falling off the table hurt, or burning a finger in mum's hot coffee hurt. A little nip in the fridge door is better than catching your fingers in a car door (thaaaaaaanks, Auntie!). These little lessons add legitimacy to the important rules that you lay down.

My dude, you're starting to sound like Reddit.

While I would love to see Ari's reaction to getting a mouthful of soy sauce - it would be a good learning opportunity about not shoving absolutely everything in your mouth - I'm a bit worried about the bottle. Kikkoman typically comes in glass bottles. Even at that height, she could break or chip the bottle if she dropped it. Shards of glass + squishy baby skin + very salty liquid = not fun. not fun at all. Thankfully, Ari lives with people who have plenty of experience with childrearing and a father who loves her enough to turn his life around and accept the help he was offered.
Eh, I wouldn't worry too much about the Kikkomen bottles, I've dropped them on tiles multiple times and never so much as chipped them. They're pretty sturdy.

That's what Reddit doesn't seem to get. Ari hasn't developed the language skills to understand exactly what she's being told not to do or why she's being told not to do it. Like I said, her taking a swig of the Kikkoman would be a good lesson in not shoving everything in her mouth. It'll taste bad, but it's not gonna kill her. Falling down and bruising their knees helps them learn how to position themselves and move their bodies so they don't fall over in the future.

Spicey is just a hyper-aware parent. I am too. I saw the fingers in the hinge immediately and was like nooooo babygiiiiirl.

She's not calling CPS over it, guys. C'mon.

I had a thought the other day - I wonder if Alex is driving Caregivers away/firing them because she WANTS Noah to do it, and he kinda feels like he has to step in in an emergency. My guess was the "can't catch a break" thing was losing another CG and she has to play it up on IG for authenticity. Idk. Just feels like a game she'd play.

They need to stop giving Ari bottles now that she’s over a year old. She’s big enough to switch to sippies and solids now.

It can be a good compliment if ahe doesent eat that well or as a ritual befor sleep.
Like, no harm done if Ari get 2-3 bottles a day also they're jam-packed with vitamins and everything else a baby needs so if she wanna continue give the bottle as a little snack in between who cares.

What gets me about Alex is that she's probably lazy and use it instead of sitting down to eat w ari.
What's worse is the slushy pouches. There's been a huge thing in my home country since parents give these so frequent that kids become picky eaters because they're not used to solids.
You find shelf after shelf w them on and I think they're a bigger culprit than a little bottle from time to time especially with lazy rapunzel over here.

I wonder if having Ari was an attempt to trap Noah into staying with her as a free caregiver that backfired. Find a loser junky who's willing to fuck her, get knocked up, and bam - free caregiver for life. Except Noah got his shit together, took the baby (which is easily the best, most heartwarming thing I've seen on this site), and left Alex in the dust.

My feeling is that Alex has tried really hard to stay together with Noah. It feels like he's been trying to extricate himself since the beginning and although he's a good manipulator, Alex is a master. With her very limited abilities and shitty upbringing, it's clear that learning to manipulate others was a survival mechanism that now absolutely poisons her whole life. I think that if he'd "have" her, she'd be with him today, and that she does everything in her (very limited) power to try and manipulate more and more time together out of him.

I don't think it's necessarily because she wants a free CG, but that she wants a male partner she can hold up as an example of how desirable she is.

ETA: Sometimes the best wake-up call for a BPD person is to encounter someone with a similar pathology who shocks them into recognition of their own behavior. Like, they realize how shitty it feels to be manipulated, raged at, and suicide-baited so they actually start to try and improve their own behavior. Alex may have actually contributed to Noah's self-improvement but not in a way that she'd be happy to acknowledge.

Giving bottles of milk before bed is how babies end up with cavities. Don’t do this. The milk pools in their mouths and rots their teeth. Switching from bottles when they’re a year old is way easier than taking bottles from a righteously indignant toddler with a dependency on that bottle before bed.

Ari eats fine, she’s a lil chonk. She’s not a failure to thrive string bean that needs toddler formula. There’s no reason for prolonging the bottles. Alex is just cheap and lazy.

Nobody needs these, you’re right. And of course there were a few in that fridge shot of Ari.

Alex is the quintessential pathetic influencer. You know the kind - plays the "fake it 'til you make it" game but just can't get it right. Everyone can see they're not living the life. Tries to bait sponsors. Constantly talks about "living their best life". Doesn't have a stable friend group and desperately clings to any even moderately influencer who so much as likes a comment their leave on their post. BP should have a thread for pathetic influencers, a la tranny sideshow.

If we started cataloguing every cluster B wannabe 'influencer', Null's hard drives would be full in under a fortnight. 'Influencers' are the new 'supermodels', and pretty much every female thinks that they want to be a model at some point.

Honestly, my social media exposure boils down to stuff that's breached containment and made it onto YouTube or been harvested by my fellow Farmers. My perception of its entertainment value may be a bit skewed.

I was thinking more of the people who've somehow managed to gain a following due to some fluke of the algorithm or viral post, their ego swelled like a balloon, and they obsess over that one flash in the pan, making their entire brand around it, and driving the tires bald.

Lol I've been off this forum since around the time Schmorkster and his ex were front page news and what not... And holy shit, back then I thought the level of fucked offness couldn't ever possibly go higher.. Then, I find this thread. Laugh My Fucking Ass Off. And also maybe I'll cry a little? I'm so confused at this point. That being said, glad to be back 😁

Check out the Boogie2988 thread in Grift wars. I think he’s exactly what you are thinking.

Fat man goes viral in early 2010s or so, seems likable, gets 5 million subs, has a couple years of fame, and everything is downhill from there as his personality comes out-everything except his ego. Yet he still makes videos with the one character he thinks everybody loves. Now the only thing people do is expose videos on him. He’s only lost a million subs but his engagement sucks and he only has a few thousand watching.

Idubbbz wife is another-titty streamer that ruined her career as well as Idubbbz.

There are a few influencers here who are now failures. Anna O’Brien is one.

I don’t know how many come from TikTok but I bet some-you can always start a thread if you find a cow.

Thread tax: Alex is gross and I would not fuck her

I'd love to take a peek inside Ari's baby mind and see how she processes/recognizes Alex compared to other humans. Alex doesn't move like most humans. She doesn't look like most humans. She talks. She has a face. But her body is misshapen. She has this big black thing attached to her at all times. Most humans don't have that. Alex doesn't interact with Ari like the other humans in her life. She's never shown the maternal instinct that other women in Ari's life do.

I'm not well versed in child mental development, especially at this age. Alex has become a fleetingly small part of Ari's life. Does Ari recognize her as a person sitting down, a person with a strange body that moves differently, or a talking piece of furniture? She probably doesn't recognize Alex as her mother. Alex has never gone out of her way to show Ari affection. There's not much Alex can do, but she's posted pictures of herself laying in bed. She could easily just lay there and snuggle with Ari. Snuggles are extremely important.

Some Easter content from Alex.

She kicked it off with some highly filtered selfies yesterday. This is the woman who unironically declared that she seldom takes selfies, lest you forget.

Highly filtered face (but not torso), and her chin is weirdly white. That lipstick was a poor choice and accents the dead tooth that she has in front.

wr_03.png

She's got a real obsession with who Ari looks like; this isn't the first time we've seen questions or polls that ask if Ari looks more like her or Noah. Narcissist much?

wr_04.png

Then we get a photo of a happy Ari with her dad:

wr_05.png

Followed by a photo of Ari with her mom. I love kiddo's expression here:

wr_06.png

Still from a video of Ari going to town on a pizza crust, which she obviously thought was the best thing she'd ever tasted:

Some real influencer content here:

Then we got a grid post.

Here's the main pic:

Putting the other photos under a spoiler just to keep this post from being 10 miles long. This isn't all the photos from the post, but the rest either weren't interesting or just weren't very good.

More of Ari with the pizza crust. Don't know what's up with the weird filter:

Still from video of Ari with her Easter basket. She was happily chewing on the photo frame:

Comments appear to be moderated right now, so nothing interesting. Brace yourselves for Reddit screeching about how the Easter basket isn't coated in 14 karat gold or whatever.
