Agreed. Pillows are friends long after birth. You could even put her on one end of the bed and have lil with some bumpers on the other. Lol. Hell I coslept with my youngest and my mattress was on the floor during and I had a pillow landing in case he rolled off the bed, which he did a few times past 6mo lol. Lil shit was walking at 9 months though. But I’m a competent adult, and that can’t be said for these 2.

I hope for the best for lil Ari. She’s cute and I have a soft spot for babies still. I would love to see her grow up not fucked up and have a thread here.

What are the chances the dog isn't being walked or taken outside to relieve itself? Even a pair of able bodied parents can struggle with caring for pets after they bring a new bub home.

parents of newborns will say the house is full of dirty laundry, or washing up, or they haven't showered in days, but pee and poo everywhere is a new one.

Ever had a baby with colic? They don’t sleep as much, they cry instead. A mom can spend hours just rocking, bouncing, carrying, putting on a vacuum, on the washer, vibrating chair, trying different music and positions -ANYTHING to get some quiet and ease the baby. It takes a couple weeks after the baby is born to set in, true, but after ten days your kid can scream for 4 months straight, night and day. Ask me how I know.

It’s physically and emotionally difficult for even the healthiest, most devoted parents. If Ari has colic they just won’t manage at all. I think they will miss critical bonding time under the best circumstances but I can see Alex leaving a screaming baby to get to the club.

Yep. Been there, done that. I also had to switch to special everything because of reflux. Every hour feedings plus diaper changes plus reflux, it was miserable. The kid is cool now, but I can’t imagine going through that if I had been wheelchair bound.

Regarding poop, yes baby poop is messy as all hell and blowouts do happen. Newborns/infants seriously crap so much it’s unbelievable. 6 months is when it becomes better, due to the introduction of solids.

They always poop at the worst times too. Done feeding? Almost asleep? Shit storm. She’s lucky she has so much help because god damn babies are a nightmare for a while. Driving for hours just to get them to sleep, ugh.

I'm guessing Ari isn't wiggly or that active yet being technically a "newborn" with the way Alex was holding her. Some babies skip the "I'm a potato, please keep me wrapped up and cuddle me stage" and go right for "put me down and let me do shit; why doesnt my body work!" stage.

Every time I think I miss the newborn stage I get some baby scented lotion or something similar and go on about my day.

Damn Alex is quiet. Is insta perfect Motherhood not turning out to be the breeze you thought It would be? Where are the happy family posts? It's been like 2 days since the shit everywhere story. I want to see new daddy Noah knocking diaper changes out of the park while watching Disney movies with his daughter and Alex in full "mom makeup" interior decorating while Ari snoozes peacefully in her co ordinating beige bassinet.
I sure hope they're not a half naked mess in a trashed apartment full of red solo piss cups with Nina having to constantly skip between toileting Alex and settling the baby all day long while Noah vapes and twitches in a corner because he's in sensory overwhelm.

It's pretty odd that this dude only surfaces now asking these questions. The delay is very sus to me, but maybe I'm too much of a cynical creature these days.

Of course you are right that it could be all completely unrelated, and I also hope it is. There is no proof after all.
