I just do not get the support for the smiths here. Tracey clearly knows the extent of Alex’s disgustingness and just sticks her head in the sand—or defends her, saying Alex can’t be a pedo/groomer/whatever you want to call it because she doesn’t have muscle control. So, her getting a child to bath her and trying to get him to buy her alcohol is not a problem because she couldn’t physically touch him?

If Alex did ask a young teenager to bathe her and put her to bed, that's gross and creepy and completely inappropriate. However, I don't know what Mrs. Smith is supposed to say about that to Noah's current ex-girlfriend. The Smiths clearly want full custody of Ari, and, for the time being, that means making nice with Alex and watching what they say. Alex is dumb and has really poor judgement on a good day, and the full-blown alcoholism isn't helping.

I can believe those messages between Tracey and Elise are real (and that Elise is definitely the one who leaked them, not realizing she comes across as spiteful and manipulative). Tracey wouldn't tell Noah's ex-cum sock to fuck off because Elise is a link to her son who she still cares about but who she finally seems to realize she needs to cut off. They're still enabling him, but I'm glad to see she recognizes it. If Noah and Elise are both still in Cali, it's best not to alienate Elise just yet. She may be the only other contact they have there who can keep tabs on Noah.
I don't think Tracey was defending Alex's incident with the boy, but maybe downplayed it because if Alex is arrested, Ari would be handed over to the other grandparents. The Smiths have no legal standing right now and have to play their cards carefully. And I hope they do, because it becomes clearer and clearer that they're the best hope Ari has for a good life.
Also lol at that comment in Noah's live: "kids deserve both parents." No toddler deserves either of these parents currently.

If I were Noah, I'd be busy trying to get back in Alex and Mama Smith's favor. The fact that he doesn't want to do this just to get access to his daughter says volumes. His life shacked up with Elise sounds miserable.

That Craigslist ad is insane. $20/hr to care for a completely disabled alcoholic AND her child while also assisting with content prep and creation? Do you think she asks them to help with the Only Fans content during the interview or waits until she’s suckered them into the job? It’s no wonder she ends up with such shady people working for her, she’s asking for an awful lot for $20/hr. I can’t imagine too many professionals are going to jump at that opportunity. I don’t know what things are like down in Florida, and I know caregivers and nannies in general are paid ass, but where I’m at that’s pretty much what you’d pay a teenager to order a pizza and watch your kids for a few hours on a Friday night. Between that wage and advertising on Craigslist instead of, like, care.com or indeed pretty much guarantees only creeps and shady degenerates will apply. Gross.

Again, shes the same vapid party girl shes always been and her whole parent schtick just comes off as someone mimicking what they've seen on social media.
I wouldn't say she has zero parental instinct but I dont think what little she might have is adequate.
She thinks a massive birthday bash for a one year old is what makes a good parent whilst "politely declining" being consistent with her child. It's my personal belief that all children need consistency as a framework to build security. Someone might not agree and no person is consistent 100% of the time but Alex just throws it in the trash thinking her lack of parenting comes off as "cute" and confident, missing that it's the complete opposite.
I'm happy Ari is with the Smiths even if they don't have the best track record but maybe (hopefully) they see Ari as a chance to redeem themselves. Some people are awful parents but great grandparents and it seemed to be the case here. Alex should count her blessings she got such a easy kid from what it seems.
I wanna believe that maybe she can learn as she goes along but at the same time it's either you have that instinct or you don't, its not really something you can learn. I just hope Ari get the upbringing she deserves because she's a absolute gem.

Ari cuddling the carer when she's sick makes me sad, Kiwis. When little kids are sick and clingy they want their primary caregiver (mum or dad), their beacon of safety and comfort. Ari doesn't even know who her primary caregiver is, she's been shuffled around so much in her short life already.

Neither one of these selfish stupid asses deserve that kid and Ari sure as hell doesn't deserve them as her "parents".
They have contributed nothing but their genetic material to that innocent child. They don't have sobriety, jobs, money, housing security, intelligence, maturity, impulse control, parenting skills, plans for the future, etc. Alex and Noah literally bring nothing to the table for their own child. Alex just wants endless attention via flashing her meaty pussy around the internet and Noah's just out there, sitting in the dark, caught up in endless BPD junkie drama and begging his parents for vape money.
I dunno. Not everyone is redeemable or worth saving or worth investing in. Some people are just toxic soul-destroying leeches who drag everyone in their orbit down with them. If they both died tomorrow, Ari would barely remember them and isn't that the best outcome for her? Sad as hell, sure--a terrible legacy that will leave a permanent scar--but ultimately, it's her only fighting chance at a somewhat normal life.
