All I gotta say is that I detest the very thought of people making fucking Uncrustables in their home with some overpriced piece of shit. [/ispoiler]
Reminds me of Miss Jennifer Gwen who would buy tons of different gadgets that were only good for one specific food item like the egg bite thing. I can't imagine the clutter of having all that useless crap that only gets used once or twice.

As an observed female at birth, I’m disgusted that Priscilla P has posted her most recent vlog. She needs to address what has just happened in the Australian courts. A male at birth is not a women. Tickle vs Giggle. Tell us Priscilla where you sit on biological sex vs identity.

ETA: Tell us about issues that really matter in the world instead of spewing hatred about a vapid woman on the other side of the globe.

Actually she mentioned a couple of times in her reactions that she doesn't accept "they/them" pronouns and there is only man and a woman nothing in between etc, thought this was out of the blue because it is not Alex content, but maybe it was in relation to some comments etc

i guess maybe in more extreme cases then lol
Sweetheart, I think reddit might be a better place to share your incredibly sheltered, naïve takes. I'm sure they'd love to have you.

Ain’t nothing cozy about the first few weeks of parenthood. Where the HELL is she getting that from?
I don't see what's not "cozy" about sleep deprivation, leaking breasts, extreme hormonal fluctuations, and the crushing responsibility of keeping a tiny helpless human alive. Oh, and the bleeding. I think lochia is the coziest bodily fluid.

This bitch really thinks that she's going to sit in the heated recliner in the nursery having a massage while her precious photo prop new baby does his own thing.

Packing snacks for hospital is something that surprised me when I first saw YouTubers like Sierra Schultzzie and Becky from Acre Homestead packing their hospital bags. In their case though they were packing hubby’s favourite snacks, whereas we know Alex is packing for herself. Totally unnecessary given hospitals generally have cafeterias, and if not they at least have vending machines.
In the United States, anyway, the food available for patients on the labor and delivery floor is often better than that provided for others. It's not uncommon, for example, for the hospital to provide a special meal for new parents after the baby is delivered. Sometimes, they even offer stuff like steak and shrimp for this. If she delivers at Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island in Providence, she will have the option of a special meal.

Being in labor burns an enormous amount of calories, if you give birth at night they won't bring you any food in most places cause kitchen is closed (idk how it is in the US tbf).
Most of the hospitals I'm familiar with in the United States have cafeteria food available 24/7. It might not always be a hot meal, but food is always available, and as @I call shenanigans says above, there are always vending machines. I think many non-Americans might not realize that our hospital cafeterias are often more like restaurants. Yes, some facilities do still have the stereotypical "hospital food" slop, but it's not uncommon to get an actual decent meal while hospitalized. I've actually had some really good food from hospital cafeterias.

Baby boy is going to be a fatty if that’s the kind of nutritionally bankrupt crap she plans on feeding him.
I don't think there's any "if" to it; going to be a fatty. He's doomed.

The biggest issue with hospital food in the US is the complete and utter lack of spice or seasoning. Nutritionally and even aesthetically it was fine, but I was about to murder for some garlic after a few days. That said, Fatlex will probably love it because she seems like the type for whom paprika is too spicy.

Saw a lot of hospital meals earlier this spring and can vouch for the complete lack of seasonings. At our local hospitals, salt is never on the meal tray.

My big issue with hospital cafeterias is the price; as bad as airports and the vending machines are just as bad so I get packing your own snacks if you’re budget conscious.

I see, I think I'd still rather bring my own granola bars and some dried fruits/nuts instead of paying 3x the price for a snickers from a vending machine or eating whatever the minimum wage worker in the kitchen slaps together at 3am.

Someone else already said that the labor dept has different rules and procedures. They aren't gonna wake up the kitchen at 3AM after you had a baby - nor could they. Instead L&D has a largeish supply of food for Moms around the clock. Mine had (really good) bagels and cream cheese you could get any time of the day, along with deli sandwiches and fresh fruit. If you wanna eat granola after labor, you do as ya please but I was really grateful for some fat and protein after that slog.

Wasn’t sure if L and D still did that. In the Triassic period when I had mine, they had a fridge with all kinds of fresh sandwich fixings, sous to nuke and 1 even kept little frozen pot pies, lasagna and similar stuff… manna after hours of painful, sweaty work!

I was intrigued by something in Alex’s last video. I don’t often watch her. I have no pretensions of being a brainiac but she is so smugly banal. It’s all makeup, dull decorating and enough shopping for 10 families and all filmed with a self assurance that’s completely baseless.

Even her account of her baby class was aggravating. What she doesn’t realize is the class can’t simulate your lack of sleep and hygiene or the wailing of babies with immediate needs.

Long story short… she looked very unraveled for a few moments and tremulously said something along the lines of: “I’m doing the best I caaaaannnnn!”

Is a bit of upcoming reality penetrating that thick skull?

Also ran into a few intriguing items of interest on newscasts of different networks today and thought this was a good thread for it.

There’s a new trend among influencers that is quickly gaining in popularity among viewers and other influencers are quickly picking up on it.

Consumerism is out. Mindful purchasing of a few good quality items of say… certain types of clothing rather than dozens of cheap ones. Don’t buy unnecessary kitchen gadgets, etc.

They stress repurposing old items and even better, demonstrate how to do it with clear and simple instructions.

Some may be wanting to leave less of an ecological footprint while others are looking to stretch their money in a tight economy. Either or both, this is really on trend.

I’m trying to picture Alex doing this and can’; shopping is too big a part of her identity.

On a related note family members held a yard sale today of baby gear their 2 kids no longer need. While sorting, labelling and pricing, they realized at least of the gear and clothing they bought were never used. That was a lot of money and storage space wasted.

Alex will never stop the unbridled consumerism. She’ll just continue the free Amazon returns after affiliate linking them. I really only started consistently watching Alex after her pregnancy announcement because I was writing her OP. What has become very clear to me is that everything she’s bought maternity, minus the Amazon pregnancy tank tops and one pair of maternity bike shorts, has never been seen again. Guaranteed she’s returned all the maternity dresses. She’s only kept and worn the gifted dresses and gown. Even nursery fittings like the Target floor lamp (returned), the spaceship toy basket (returned) and the $300 brass Bruno lamp, have all disappeared. I’m sure the Kelly Strack navy blue PJ’s have already been returned because they didn’t fit. If her Amazon parcel with maternity bras ever arrived (will likely know in her next blog) they’ll also be returned because she doesn’t know her size, they won’t fit, and she won’t be breast feeding anyway.

I wasn’t surprised that she has decided baby won’t be a “D” name anymore because I suspect the guesses of Drew or Domenic (Dom) were correct. At least she’s been stuck with the custom ETSY name banner (also expected) no longer applies and can’t be returned. Now she’s talking about maybe dying her hair darker prior to delivery. Guess which vapid, fake blonde, influencer has also recently done so. If you guessed Kelly Strack ✅ to you.

did you all take as much as Alex when/if you gave birth? Is it normal?
It's a lot. But all she does is shop so I am totally unsurprised. One of the best bits of advice I got before birth was to use the hospital's stuff whenever possible - bleed on their stuff, not your's. But toiletries, yes, bring those unless you wanna wash your hair with body soap that could strip paint.

I am not a makeup person so I can't speak to any of that except it seems beyond retarded to me to pack makeup to push a human out of your body.

Maternity photography and/or she's planning on Instagramming her hospital stay.

I don't understand why she doesn't just shop at Torrid or other fat stores. She's now desperately trying to find clothes that are supposed to be "loose fit" or "oversized" so she can delude herself into still being a 2XL or whatever. I guess she can't admit to herself that she's once again outgrown normal stores.

Too expensive for her. Even though Fat Al shops a lot, and returns a lot, she’s still a cheapskate at heart. It’s all about cheap dupes with her. Torrid, and other plus sized clothing stores tend to be very expensive for the poor quality you actually get.
