Alpha and Omega Fandom - Wolfaboos with a love for shitty direct-to-video sequels.

For the curious, this is the scene I mentioned earlier, that made me immediately stop watching it to instead watch my collection of Looney Tunes shorts as a palate cleanser.
That's like having a burnt hotdog then having a banana split from an old fashioned ice cream parlor. One of these things is done terribly, the other is perfect.

A while back I developed a rudimentary system for predicting whether a franchise will have a super autistic and innapropriately sexual fandom.

1) Does it have talking wolves in it?
Yes=it will have an autistic fandom
No= go to step 2

2) some fucking sperg will probably post cum-stained fanfiction about it anyway

At least Land Before Time went more than twelve months between some of it's sequels. Jesus effin' Christ...

IDK if any of them are on IMDb's bottom 100, but they look like the kind of thing Mr I Hate Everything usually reviews.

I want to see IHE review all of these in his "Search for the Worst" series, mostly to see the salt that would come from it.

Land Before Time is also actually a good movie, and some of the sequels are pretty good as well despite the obvious shift in tone to be more kid-friendly. There was still care and craft put into some of them, maybe up until movie eight, with the exception of that stone of cold fire one.

It would just be one more thing connecting IHE and Bobsheaux, the main being Daddy Derek and Cool Cat.

I really only knew this piece of shit had a fandom because of e621 and...recolor culture. About as bad as the Alvin and the Chipmunks fandom, thankfully doesn't seem to be on the same level and the Lady and the Tramp 2 fandom. If anyone wants to prove me wrong on that front, please spare my eyes.

I remember seeing a LOT of ads for it on Cartoon Network and getting pretty hype for it. (Maybe they were advertising it well, or maybe I was just as much of a furfag then as Reynard is now.) Then one day suddenly no more ads, at all. Maybe it came out in theaters to such bad reception they stopped bothering.

To be honest, I saw an ad for it in theaters, a friend said he'd see it, then a year later saw that it got added to Netflix thanks to Xbox Live (call me weird, but my family and I only got Netflix for the first time late 2017), then essentially forgot about it until I saw a dude on YouTube reviewed it. I also tend to remember various inconsequential things from my life for whatever reason, be they furry or not.

I don't even understand how a flop like this movie could garner a fandom at all in the first place, let alone get a slew of direct-to-DVD sequels.

At least with other furry bait franchises like Balto, Zootopia, Sonic, Robin Hood, and the like, you had works that were actually good to begin with and attract a somewhat normal fandom in addition to the furries.

This franchise is bad even by furry standards and the fact it garnered a fanbase at all is just downright confusing.

Damn, I thought this shit fizzled out a while ago. I remember, I think (?) watching this movie when it came out with my brother. Ny dad had a coworker that had a bunch of new torrented movies on a disk. Like a normal person, I thought it was pretty terrible and forgot about it until I came across those AMVs on Youtube.

The main question I have regarding these movies is: Why?
I could understand a few years ago when Zootopia didn’t exist, but there’s a ton of better furry content created and on the web. I like monsters, but I’m not flocking to shit like The Mummy (2016) to get my fill of tetraphilia. We even had a movie about a woman fucking a fish win best picture for god’s sakes, you don’t need to watch shitty direct to DVD movies to see wolves fucking.

I remember @AnxiousRobin said it best: "There's better movies to be a furry over." You Got Zootopia, Robin Hood, Secret of N.I.M.H., An American Tail, and a lot more! Those are great movies! Why can't they sperg out about those instead?

If I wanted to see wolves fucking, I'd go to the Discovery Channel or e621. You know, basically the same place, right?
Alvin and the Chipmunks fandom... op opened Pandora's box here of things that never shouldve happened
Thread when?

Wait, what the fuck? I always just assumed all of this was just slang for Dom/Sub. This shit has Mpreg in it too!?

If you're morbidly curious, these two pages give a pretty in-depth explanation of the Alpha/Beta/Omega setting. It doesn't have to involve Mpreg (it's more about transferring wolf hierarchy/mating practices onto humans) but like I swear like 90% of all A/B/O fics I've stumbled across involve a dude getting pregnant.

My favorite part of this is how even someone with a furry avatar was cringing to this.

It began with the Supernatural fandom...OF COURSE IT DID!

Why would anyone have to watch this in class? It's not entertaining, it doesn't have good animation, and it sure as hell isn't educational about wolves.

If the furries are infiltrating our educational system, they could at the very least play something people would like, like Zootopia.

Honestly, even Space Jam would be a better choice of movie.
At least with that, you'll get a stupid fun movie with an awesome soundtrack, that also both spawned Barkley: Shut Up & Jam Gaiden and triggered many cartoon spergs (Doug Walker, Phantomstrider, John K.).
