Amazon Studios to develop series based on Fallout

Just got on the farms, saw this blew up of course. I'm enjoying the anger, but I'm not going to watch the show cause it looks gay (like all things Fallout)

All I'm going to say is that it's funny because the most angry don't even make a pretense of trying to pirate it to not support Bethesda/Amazon. They've seemingly been shitting on it from the minute it went online.

lol, lmfao even.

This looks really bad, cringy and boring. The ghoul(racemixing) character is probably the only decent thing about it, but not nearly worth the effort of actually pirating the show.

Here is some more cringe:

Here is the now infamous "man ass" scene
You know, I joked about Lover's Lab mods being made canon, but I didn't think they would actually go for it

BTW, love how none of these shitty sterlings are from the games. You want a Fallout appropriate firearm, how about an M16A1(Service Rifle)? HK G3(R91 aka Fallout 3 Assault Rifle)? FN FAL or even making an entirely new prop based off the AK-112 of the original titles? It's not like you had MILLIONS in budget or anything...

Geeneva Dworvet-Robertson has a track record of wanting less attractive women that can't act to save her projects nor their respective souls
Which is weird because Lucy, no matter how you feel about her, is a QT 3.14.
I'm in the minority but its not total shit, except for the dialogue. Some of it is good but a lot of it is weak.
Jesus fuck the "wanna have sex?" bit was terrible. The real star is Goggins, GOD I want a show with just him.

What's the shitty "lore"reason that ghoul cowboy is literally bulletproof and has Deadpool regeneration?

I killed thousands of those things they're not immune to bullets.
Double posting but you posted just after I did.
In the lore Ghouls heal in radiation. So any source of rads heals them (at the risk of increasing their chance for going feral)

Probably the "ghoul serum" I've seen being mentioned.
This shit is starting to look more and more like capeshit every minute. Good lord, Joss Wheadon and MCU have been a blight on entertainment media.

Except that's wrong, while it is true that ghouls are immune to, and even slightly heal from radiation, it is not a fucking X factor from X-men. The ghoul would not become deadpool or wolverine simply because he's standing in a irradiated hotspot, unless Bethesda retconned that too. Remember, ghouls don't need to eat, drink, shit or even breathe anymore since one was stuck in a fridge for 200 years without those things and he was fine.
Fuck me, that makes the ghouls in Fallout 1 Necropolis who made a big deal about dying of dehydration if you took their water chip without fixing their water pump look like such drama queens, huh?

Bethesderp couldn't even keep it consistent for one game. In Goodneighbor Daisy the ghoul junk shop owner talks about being hungry and her fondness for salisbury steak so clearly they do eat.

Why is Big MT on that nuke-our-country committee? They're a government think-tank, not an independent conglomerate.

Also you're telling me Mr. House gave the A-OK on blowing the world to kingdom come, but forgot to have the chip on hand the day the nukes dropped as planned?

Sinclair was just an elite who could see the end coming like House could. He knew the world at that point was beyond saving, so he built his isolationist site to begin again. He wouldn't want to nuke the country himself, he just saw the coming unstoppable apocalypse as an opportunity. Also he wasn't that fat.

Would Repconn have that much influence to make a decision like this?

Wtf about Posedian Energy? Weren't they THE energy company in Fallout? They worked directly with the Enclave ffs. If Repconn is there, why isn't PE?

I'm not gonna even bring up Vault-Tec being the catalyst for the apocalypse. That was a bad fan theory never to be taken seriously.

That one scene is very retarded.

Remember, this is a memberberries scene made by people who only played Fallout 4 and got the rest of their info from Fallout wiki. How do you expect them to know all this stupid nerd shit? Capitalism bad, that's all you need to know.
Speaking of which, reminder that Fallout Frontier was similarly made by people who only played Fallout 3 and barely even knew anything about New Vegas and Fallout 1/2(despite that being a New Vegas mod some of the devs never even finished a single walkthru of that game). That mod is still better written and more lore friendly than this multi million dollar masterpiece with Bethesda's own backing.

Boy, the writing in this is something else

Don't forget, anyone who defends this shit probably unironically likes this kind of writing
Speaking of which, I am seeing a lot of fetishistic shit in this tv show. Since it nuked F1/F2/FNV out of the canon, I guess it's also adding Lover's Lab content as part of canon now.
A alien written this? Even the worst chatgpt slop feels more natural and human than this.
Jesus fucking christ, who was actually excited for this slop?

BTW, that super based ghoul cowboy everyone is talking about? He's a pre-war coal burner

Just in case it wasn't obvious enough where the direction of Fallout was going when they added actual trannies into Fallout 76
Generic dialog, stupid action sequences, stupid costumes, i never had expections and yet i disapointed. The turret scene is the worst offender, the turret look unecessary cartoonish and out of place in a live action scene and can't kill a midle aged asian men that don't even try to run and the slowest dog in the world.

Or was Lonesome Road not cannon?
No, it wasn't, or at least the tunneler part isn't. That was a leap of faith made by one of the devs because he really, really wanted the Fallout setting to go back to being a "post apocalyptic" game instead of a post-post apocalyptic game like like NV, hence the nukes at the end...
Which is exactly what Todd wanted, so I guess in that sense, that ending(and DUST) are spiritually canon.
Really, since Bethesda was so nice to announce that the TV Show is 100% canon, that means that all of Todd's games aren't canon anymore, and all the fans can breathe easy knowing he can't screw up the games anymore.
Order as follows of canon games:
Fallout 1>Fallout 2>Fallout Tactics>Fallout New Vegas

Shitty spin offs(not canon):
Fallout 3>Fallout 4>Fallout 76>Fallout TV Show
I'm glad we got that sorted, at least.
Seriously tho, that kind of pettiness, if that's indeed what it is, doesn't even exude anger as much as lolz and pity. This is like Chris calling one of his transformers DONALD PLUMPF and throwing it as hard as he can into the used up kitty litter. I mean, the story isn't much more cohesive than this either from what I can tell, even the biggest supporters of the show say they had to "turn off their brains" to enjoy it.

I don't care how much lore they retcon so long as the writing, set design, acting, directing, and everything else was decent. This looks like a bad CollegeHumor "what if Fallout was a shitty TV show?" sketch from a decade ago.
It's pretty much my mentality when it comes to adapting something from one media to the other. If you are going to retcon stuff, then do it for a good reason.

It also helps knowing that the audience for a Fallout videogame is not the same that the audience that will sit down and watch a Fallout series even if they overlap.

It doesn't even matter to me if they want to retcon FO1, 2 and NV as long as whatever it is you want to do is fun to watch. Just say the series is its own little continuity and that's it.
