they let kirkman put a cut story from when he was writing the comics into the plot for i dont remember the exact reason. probably also got away with it because they realized there was not enough plot for the season to be filled out since the last 3 episodes will be

It's funny how they try to make Eve's dad out as some bad guy but literally everything he's said since his first appearance has been right, honest, and consistent. Even more hilarious is how they try to paint this as a bad thing when they at least tried to lend some credence to him with Eve naively creating shit over a sinkhole. If people are supposed to hate him just because he sounds like an asshole, almost everyone in this cast would be on all viewers' shit list.

It's funny how they try to make Eve's dad out as some bad guy but literally everything he's said since his first appearance has been right, honest, and consistent. Even more hilarious is how they try to paint this as a bad thing when they at least tried to lend some credence to him with Eve naively creating shit over a sinkhole. If people are supposed to hate him just because he sounds like an asshole, almost everyone in this cast would be on all viewers' shit list.

Tech jacket being some teenage girl is wholly unnecessary. It doesn't add to the plot or takeaway (since this isn't a story around the original character), so why change him to her? If it's so she and Oliver can bond, that's low-key pointless too because he could do that as a guy. A part of me wonders if they'll go the Rex & Rae route and make her Oliver's love interest or something. That would be awkward considering how fast he ages and all the side relationship shit but Kirkman loves his weird romance dynamics.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly the plan for them, especially since they made it clear they were around the same relative age and TJ isn't exactly helping with the fighting.

None of the setting details it added made sense, since apparently demons don't leave Hell and human souls apparently don't go to Hell since demons only torture the whatever they were called and religions are fake and gay. If I had to guess, Satan losing the throne happened while Damien was gone and they had no way of reaching him on the surface, but really I just don't think Kirkman considered these questions.

Every good point that he makes is filtered through some histrionic Archie Bunker tirade. That little talk he has with Mark is the only good scene he's had because he sounds like a human and not a caricature.
