they let kirkman put a cut story from when he was writing the comics into the plot for i dont remember the exact reason. probably also got away with it because they realized there was not enough plot for the season to be filled out since the last 3 episodes will be
mark's recovery, viltrumite war, and return to earth, which i totally expect to open up with a fakeout opening like in season 2
 
It's funny how they try to make Eve's dad out as some bad guy but literally everything he's said since his first appearance has been right, honest, and consistent. Even more hilarious is how they try to paint this as a bad thing when they at least tried to lend some credence to him with Eve naively creating shit over a sinkhole. If people are supposed to hate him just because he sounds like an asshole, almost everyone in this cast would be on all viewers' shit list.

they'd probably try and say some bullshit like him being a worse dad or have nolan say that and characters hearing him laugh

one is just being too angry daddy said not to eat so much chocolate and the other is extending the sorry cuck apology humiliation ritual that has already gone on too long

I'm pretty sure that's exactly the plan for them, especially since they made it clear they were around the same relative age and TJ isn't exactly helping with the fighting.

Also I know it's been discussed plenty already, but the Hell episode really bugged me. None of the setting details it added made sense, since apparently demons don't leave Hell and human souls apparently don't go to Hell since demons only torture the whatever they were called and religions are fake and gay. Despite this, there was a tome that contained a spell to banish demons that humans got everything wrong about except the name of their race.

If I remember correctly that was something people just assumed was Damien's motivation, but even that raises a problem because he's apparently le heckin' wholesome chungus that tells people to create a Heaven on Earth so I feel like someone would have talked to him about that before Mark did.

If I had to guess, Satan losing the throne happened while Damien was gone and they had no way of reaching him on the surface, but really I just don't think Kirkman considered these questions.

Seriously, how did humans know how to banish demons when demons don't visit the surface and they got everything wrong about them? It's complete nonsense.

The real problem I have with this guy is that even though he's right to be worried about Eve, her stupid boyfriend, and her inability to help people, he's a complete fucking retard about it.

Every good point that he makes is filtered through some histrionic Archie Bunker tirade. That little talk he has with Mark is the only good scene he's had because he sounds like a human and not a caricature.
