At the 1:45 mark, she talks about how she's experiencing really bad heartburn, but she "shies away from any medicine". Maybe she'll take chewy Tums later.
She's mentioned in other videos that she's against diet pills, mental illness, and most, if not, all flu medicine.
She tried Phentermine for 4 days. She was scared to start it due to the possible side effects of dry mouth, high blood pressure, insomnia, anxiety, mood swings, heart disease, and fluid in the legs. Since she was so nervous to start it, the nurse advised her to start off by taking a half pill. She did that and noticed no changes, so 4 hours later she took the other half. She said if anything she felt hungrier.
The second day she took the whole pill. It was successful in suppressing her appetite, but she felt like she had no energy. She was able to count her calories and stay under the allotted amount. She even filmed a pizza mukbang but she had to force herself to eat it cuz you can't not eat.
On day 3, she was nauseous, which she claims is a symptom of the pill to help suppress your appetite. They went out to Mexican, she forced herself to eat, cuz you can't not. She is very emphatic that you can't not eat. Despite having gone out to eat, she claims she hardly ate anything on that day.
There's some nurse in the family who also takes Phentermine who told AL to constantly monitor her blood pressure. Being told she needed to monitor her blood pressure scared the shit out of her. For day 3, she had a bp of 149/69 and her pulse was 100. The nurse told her that was a normal range for people on Phentermine. AL was still noticing the pill wasn't giving her any energy, and the nurse said that it's possible AL has undiagnosed ADD.
On day 4 she took her bp twice, it was 153/80 and her pulse was 88. This made her feel very uncomfortable. The second reading it was 179/76 and her pulse was 96. She knows her blood pressure taking gadget isn't super accurate but she claims it is "accurate enough". The nurse suggested she not take the pill the following day and monitor her blood pressure to see what it was when she's not taking the pill. AL made the decision to ignore that suggestion and to just stop taking the pill altogether.
She did another blood pressure reading on camera, 182/90, pulse 102. She said her blood pressure has never been this bad before starting the pill.
