Question for the people deeper in the lore than me, does Alex is Shook have a job? Or is he another one of those that just claim disabity while also fishing for YouTube checks?

Just wondering cuz Hambeast is so upset over everyone being ok with his absence. If he had a job, that'd contribute to an explanation.

He used to work as a "receptionist" at his father's business. It was busy work for his flappy handed junkie son. No idea if he's still "employed."

I think his dad has a construction business, and they live in a big McMansion. So he comes from a lot of privilege and has had every advantage and opportunity.

These descriptions of BPD behavior don’t sound that much like Amber. Chantal seems to have more of that crazed, hyper-energetic, destructive personality.

But saying she's not violent is just not true - she has thrown things - she hit destiny's mom with a fucking Keurig rack.

I believe it was Destiny’s mom who hit Amber over the head with a K-cup holder, not the other way around. And if so— good for Destiny’s mom. So say we all!

Q: Do you and Tommy (Emily Franz) have phone sex while long distance?
A: "Yes, obviously, duh" whatever qualifies for "sex" for Amber anyway lol

Mmmm, you eatin' that Betty Crocker icing, baby? Oooh, yeah, eat that pizza for mama . . .

During one of her Q&A sessions someone asked her where she would go if she could go anywhere in the world and she said Greece.

She probably thinks the country is Grease and understandably thinks she'd fit in quite well there.

I think she might have been during the time she was pantomiming her way through mandated psychological appointments in order to get the WLS so Wipey wouldn't dump her.
Unlikely. That’s not how the psychs that work with bariatric clinics work, and patients are given the names of “approved providers” of the clinic. They are really just trying to help with eating behaviours and get to the bottom of why patients overeat. Are they just gluttons, have an ED, or are they food addicts? Most are actually just gluttons, which is why they get approved. Gluttonous behaviour can be dealt with by physical restriction, the others can’t.
The funniest thing about her BED "diagnosis" is that she believed it would secure WLS, but instead, it excluded her from the program and it sent her down a spiral of lies which culminated in her trying to bully a doctor and him sending her to a mandatory 12 sessions with a psychologist to try and get back in.
I loved this season. I knew from the getgo where she was going, even though she lied about a female surgeon out of state. I knew she wasn’t going to get an easy run through to surgery (next week) simply because she was self-pay. I knew when she talked about the people in the team she was seeing, that she was being totally non-compliant, and I knew that she was telling the team what she thought they wanted to hear, which is the opposite of what they actually needed to hear for approval. It really was a trainwreck for her, and a very expensive one at that. I love that by giving her every chance to succeed before having to throw her out of the program, that the practice managed to at least lighten her purse significantly.

Didn't she say the reson she stopped going to the therapist after the 12 sessions was because her "insurance wouldn't approve" the specific doctor they recommended? First of all she is not hurting for money at all, typical therapy sessions cost about 200-250 out of pocket and she is spending over 1k on semaglutide alone. Second, she has never had insurance, and even if she did I'm sure the clinic wouldn't just give you a single option that coincidentally doesn't accept your specific insurance company, as quoted above.

She dodges therapy like bullets.

The funniest part was Amber telling us that the clinic never had a client so ready for surgery ever, but she had to decline the surgery because she could not have help during the recovery. In reality, she was kicked out of the programme and Jade had enough of her.

You might be surprised. Many clinics will only give one option, the psych they are partnered with. It’s a mutual referral relationship. Amber was given a shortlist to choose from, which is better, but as you say insurance wasn’t an issue for her because she was cash pay. Bariatric clinics know which insurers cover them, so with insured patients they’ll know which psychs are covered by the insurers that cover their practices.

But she wasn’t paying that until after she was rejected. She wasn’t paying for Semaglutide when she thought the 12 psych sessions was enough to get approved. She’s tried and failed to get WLS three times now. I’d expect she knows it’s off the table for her now. So next magic option is Semaglutide.

Um....as I almost had WLS 3 times in the past I don't think "approved providers" of WLS clinics are on the list because they are so wonderful at treating eating disorders. I was given a list of preferred psychologists to do my psych evals each time and they told me it was because they had the best track record of sending the reports to them the fastest . Lol

And before anyone implies that I'm an Amber - I actually was approved each time by the clinic and my insurance.. but I kept chickening out.

And now I'm no longer obese because I lost the weight without it believe it or not so I no longer WLS

Also I call BS on the person that said surgeons would required patients go to a particular psychologist that happens to not take your insurance - like Amber used a psychologist out of network. Please remember weight loss surgeons are in a business. And most of that business is funded by taking insurance money . Requiring a patient pay for 12 psychiatric appts with an out of network psych would lower the number of patients that can afford it and that in turn lowers the amount of WLS they do and lower their profit. They would definitely help a patient like Amber find a psych that would take her insurance. She can't be the only one in OK that the surgeon has worked with that had her insurance.

Correct - I'm currently overweight but not obese by medical standards . I'm pretty average American size these days . Which is fat. I didn't say otherwise lol
And you're pretty average American stupid, too.

(Obvs this doesn't apply to the majority of US KF posters who know about not powerleveling.)

You're treading dangerous waters, my friend. Get out while you're ahead, we go for blood when people start talking like that here.

She really had a lot of nice things given how neglectful and traumatic her childhood was. Rollerskates, scooters, electric scooters. access to swimming pools, supplies to play all of these sports? Incredible.
Wonder if this was when she was living in an apartment or in the trailer park or on the farm? Hm.
