I'm of the same mind. I've always believed she is seeing Dr Eric Smith in Georgetown. Sealed the deal for me when she said she contacted them by email to get access to the online information session. That is the first step used on Kentucky Bariatric Institute's website, formally Georgetown Bariatrics etc. It also makes sense because he's so close to Lexington, only a 25 minute drive, and meets her "celebrity" definition. However, the day she uploaded her video about emailing her "celebrity" surgeon for the information session, she doxxed him. The other celebrity surgeons don't have that as their first step. I believe this out of state, travel a long way surgeon, is just her trying to deflect again. Plus if it was Proctor she was planning to see, wouldn't she be looking for an insurer that covered WLS in AtlantaI dismiss the use of Dr. Procter in Atlanta. It is at least a 5 to 6 hours drive from Lexington, and it does not make sense logistically. If it is true, she would need to drive to Atlanta the day before, go to her meeting or consultation, then drive back if the consultation is in the morning, or stay overnight and then drive back the following day. Amber does not drive, so Jade does it. However, I am not sure if Jade could take 2-3 days off on a regular basis. If there is an issue with the surgery, she would be too far. It is probably a reason why Dr. Nowzaradan wants his patient to move to Houston. She is most likely to go to Dr. Smith.

1000lb friends aren't off social media, they are all over Instagram, but I do see your point.I think this train has passed. Bariatric surgery patients' TV shows were all the rage a few years ago, but now, not so much. There are still 1000-pound friends or 1000-pound sisters, but the genre is in decline. Only MSHPL is doing it, but Amber is not special. Amber is very much like Gina, and it's been done already. Besides any show would require her to be off social media.
If it were a couple of years ago then I'd say the balloon was an option, because at that time they were using it on the infinifats who were considered too big (or too seriously ill) to perform surgery on. The balloon went in for a few months, they lost significant weight, decreased their liver fat substantially, and surgery was easier and safer. It was never a solution on its own, it was only ever a one step in a process. These days though there are a few more surgeons who seem comfortable, and have the equipment, to perform surgery on these absolute beasts. Dr Now really did lead the way in that regard, and with many surgeons now having access to the Da Vinci robot to do these surgeries, they have better reach internally than they did before. In your opinion, would the surgeon insert a gastric balloon instead of going directly to a gastric sleeve? It seems that Amber is still a high-risk patient due to her size and any reduction would help in reducing that risk.
There is risk in every procedure, however the risk of staying 500lb plus is far greater.Balloons have all sorts of complications don’t they? Like perforation as a risk in the gastric and esophageal area.
Many of us would love to see her bloodwork. She'll have a very comprehensive blood draw ordered at her first appointment with the surgeon's office, but we'll only get told about the things skinny people have. Just like in the past, and just like Glitterandlazers, all she'll tell us is that she's anaemic and D3 deficient...even though she knows this already, and could easily have corrected it by regular supplements. We will not be told she's T2D, we will not be told her liver is so fat it is no longer contained behind her rib cage. We will get told her cholesterol, BP, and kidney function are all normal (but she won't say normal for an infinifat) so unhealthy for anyone. Her weight is all her lipedema's fault, and don't forget she'll gain 40lb just in the drive to the office because that's what lipodemas do.What I really want to know is what Amber’s blood work is like. Cholesterol, triglycerides, a1c, alt/ast/other liver markers, all that stuff. Don’t know how she can keep claiming she’s fat and fine when all she does is whine about how her size hurts her.
Oh she's had her wake up call many times. She knows she must lose weight if she's going to live to see 40, she just doesn't have the desire to change anything or to be uncomfortable. She loves fast food way too much to let it go.Her having gallbladder issues but being too fat for surgery isnt a wake up call? So what will be? Cancer wasn’t. And she sure can’t get follow ups for that because she’s too fat to fit in a machine
