Really? Slight PL, but I live in a place that gets quite cold, and this is not a thing for us at all - unless you're dealing with a multi-day blizzard that's taken down powerlines and you're without heat for days because crews can't physically go out and repair the damage. Plumbing is run below the frostline and on the warm side of insulated exterior walls (when it has to be on external walls) to prevent bursting, and external lines like fountains and garden faucets are purged before winter - but maybe our set ups are done differently than many parts of 'Murica because of the sub-zero months we get.

Amber bought more LEGO sets and fugly slippers. Amber uses the weather as an excuse to not walk - she can't imagine walking in 20 degree weather because she's a retard who wears no socks and ballet flats in the snow.

We don't leave our taps dripping and they do not freeze because of construction techniques used in this climate. Basically, the pipes are routed through the center of the house so they're well-insulated. Our insulation materials are likely different, as well.

Am also North American and from a colder clime, the house I grew up in was built in 1888--we occasionally had to let our faucets drip.
