It's cute that she says she doesn't have lymphedema. She hasn't been to a doctor in a long time and therefore no doctor could refer her to a vascular surgeon or vein specialist to get an official diagnosis.

Several of my relatives have/had severe lymphedema. Once you've seen it up close and in person a layman can very easily identify it on others. She has it just like she has diabetes and it's ridiculous to deny it. We can see it on her body. It's not unlike a person covered with chicken pox denying they have it.

Her denial will kill her before she's 35. I can't imagine being so far up my own ass I would try to deny something that was evident to anyone who can see.

I dont even think it's even that far. I think she honestly believes shes healthy. I really do. She thinks because she is 26 she wouldnt have those problems. I bet people like her think those type of problems only affect "old people" meanwhile her insides are already worse than a person over 60.

It's awful that she's using it as an excuse to hide behind. Having a disorder isn't funny, especially not when it's hard to treat. But hard to treat doesn't mean all hope is lost; she can choose to practise self control and she can very easily educate herself on nutrition and a healthy diet.

I can vouch for this. I have many a psychological disorders (some of which will never be properly cured either), but that doesn't mean I can't try and manage my symptoms. It takes time, but it's not impossible.
