If you dropped out, would you be on the hook for the grants as you didn't complete the degree? Just wondering if that's what happened with Big Al.
Yes even for the grants (I also have loans in addition to the grants, my tuition is just over 16k for the whole program). The only way you don't have to pay the grants back is by getting a GPA of 3.8 plus, its almost like "they" are saying "hey do a good job and here is free money, but screw us over and we want it back".

Fuck no. These grants are mostly limited to high achievers. Not AL, who by any account would probably test in the 50th percentile at best. Maybe if she had a mediocre test score but with tons of extra curriculars, leadership experience, etc she could apply and get some money but nothing about AL screams "over achiever" in fact is screams the opposite.

Private banks give out student loans like tick tacks now. It's a shady business that will probably go belly under once all the AL types they loaned to never pay them back. Or, like most devious ass banks they probably have already repackaged the debt and sold it to some other sucker.

At best she could have applied for and got federal loans, which are not grants and must be paid back, but come with much more consumer friendly terms than private loans.

If Becky does post here it just goes to show how her "friends" also use AL. They are fame thirsty, even if it's "lol cow" famous. It's bizarre, but it seems the case. Look how much Rafe liked being noticed because she entered into AL's orbit. I'm not feeling sorry for AL but it's fairly obvious that her Lol Cow status is something of a status symbol in bum fuck lezbo Kentucky circles.

That is definitely not the case in Nebraska and, as I Google it, not the case in any other state in the country either. Tuition waivers for foster children are granted because of their foster/emancipated foster child status, only. Believe me: the state, any state, is not expecting some high-testing geniuses out of the sadly under-served foster child population. It's more akin to the GI bill than a typical government grant.

My last post on this but you make it seem like it's available to any foster child that wants it and that these programs often pay 100% room and board + tuition. From my own Googling that seems a pretty giant stretch. It seems at best you have to maintain a high GPA and often the assistance will not cover even close to 100% tuition and boarding.

In that sense it seems like most "help the poor" programs. Underfunded, too widely applied for, and often times comes with pretty strict requirements while receiving it.

Whatever the case, it's obvious someone of AL's makeup wouldn't even sniff it.

With all the bra talk, I need to bring up the topic of "Sister Sizing".
Amber's definitely wearing a bra that's too small on her, but what she needs to realize is that if she can't find a bra with a band that big, she needs to look into sister sizing. She can go down in band size, but have to go up a cup size to compensate. If she's a 46B she can go down to a 44C, then a 42D, etc. No excuse.

I would suggest that Amber start wearing sports bras, since she seems too lazy to get her chest sized, but I doubt they make them big enough to fit her girth.

Sports bras are difficult to put on/take off for thin women, can you imagine how hopelessly stuck she would become? They'd have to call an ambulance to get her out.

She is a flatty = flat titted fat woman. She needs close to a 50b front close bra. Her arms cannot put on a bra properly from the back.

Took 2 mins to find this bra. Oh Victimlynn, I know your here. Buy black you stinky filthy cow. Screenshot_20170717-182713.png

If she can't buy it in a 6 pack at Kohl's what's the point? (Nevermind that no one buys "six" of the same color, same brand bra.....)

:powerlevel: It is likely dependent on the state, but I went to a college in the state I had grown up in (i.e. was a resident) and was eligible for grants based on income alone. I simply filled out a FAFSA each year and they were given to me by the state.

Amber seems to have moved around a lot so establishing residency takes a bit each time she moved to a new state.

She doesn't even have a seat belt for her dog. You can get them for under 10 bucks on amazon. I guess buying herself cheap ass sweatshop Walmart jewelry is more important than keeping her dog safe. She also gives it Taco Bell because she doesn't want to eat in the car in front of her dog without it having something. That's one of the stupidest things I've heard come out of her blubber hole. How often does this poor dog go for walks or to the park? I feel so bad for it.

PL here. I had a client who showered in her bra. She was afraid it would fall apart if she tried to take it off.
No fucking way. Wow.

And yes, I doubt she would actually be a B cup if she shoved all her back fat into a bra. And I agree she is like, "I'm a B cup, tee hee," to appear dainty. Y'all are 100% on it. I looked for the vid, but it's enough for me that another user verified that she said that. If anyone finds the video, post it!

Also, I held onto the "secret Tumblr" account for a while in hopes of finding her other accounts she mentions. No luck yet.

Totallys.
My first thought at "post this" was more of a "I'm sick of you posting personal information about me, getting in the middle of my life and friendships for attention online so post this you fucking asshole."

Maybe wishful thinking tho.
I don't think it's wishful thinking. Throwing my hat in the ring for the "Becky hates Amber photographing her without her permission and then plastering those photos online" theory. Becky doesn't like being filmed or photographed. I think Amber told her she wanted to get a picture of her to post online and Becky, tired, frustrated and in pain, said, "Post this!" and gave her the finger and Amber passive-aggressively posted it.

People react to broken bones in different ways. Some people can take OTC pain meds and be just fine. When I broke my ankle it was the worst pain I'd ever experienced, and that pain was eclipsed after ankle reconstruction surgery. If Becky's break hurts half of what mine did she's in no mood to be harassed by her self-absorbed, useless girlfriend. I think this bone break may be what finally leads to the relationship breaking up. Amber will do nothing for Becky unless food is involved and will be more of an impediment to recovery than a help because she's too fat even to stand up for very long. Perhaps Becky can stomach Amber's many negative traits when she feels well but those negative traits are going to be unendurable when she's unable to walk and do much on her own.

I was also thinking this would be the end of the relationSHIT. Right now Becky is camping out on the couch, basically because she had to drive Amber home yesterday. She must know Amber can't DO anything for her. If she thought Amber might pull it together and come through for her now, she must have learned her lesson by now. Amber can't make her anything to eat (other than that awful "soup") and she can't go to the store for anything that Becky might actually need (like prescriptions). Basically, they get to sit on the couch day after day while Becky worries about money and her job, and Amber Googles herself. Yeah, this will end well.

I'm honestly kind of baffled at the amount of misinformation and thus wrong speculation about Amber re: school, especially coming from students. I'm a student myself and I currently work at the financial aid office at my uni so perhaps I can clear some of this up? A lot of stuff for financial aid is state specific but finaid is federal so the meat and bones of everything is the same because, well, it has to be.

First, it's entirely possible she went to school and had bad grades. The post about having a 3.8 GPA so she couldn't have gone to school is completely false and also is an absurdly high GPA. Most institutions - especially a CC or technical school, have it set at a minimum of 2.0 to be considered in good standing with the school and thus good standing with financial aid. Even then - if you fall behind a 2.0 there is at least a quarter or semester grace period where they must notify you of your falling grades and you have that time period (either the quarter or semester) to get back into good standing or finaid is cancelled. Even THEN if you do not manage to make it after that there is an appeal process where you submit some forms to finaid and explain what happened and they'll approve you for another quarter/semester to catch back up. I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen this appeal denied. They almost always get approved. Some schools will even ask the student to take a semester off and invite them back after this probation period. The point being - it's absolutely not impossible that Amber was able to go to school and kept receiving loans.

I don't know where people are getting their information about foster care but as @Tazz said, the state 100% will pay for foster care children to go to college. It's not even about them applying themselves and having good grades and all that shit that someone else said. If you're a foster care child, you get college, but only in THAT state. I've had to process countless files about this and my friend's brother got into a great and expensive Uni here purely because he was a foster child. They don't pay for 100% of things, but they hands down cover tuition and board if applicable.

There is usually a 6 month grace period given to a student with loans where they must inform their lender that they'll be returning to college within the next 6 months or they'll be seeking employment - otherwise the loans have a set payment date and on midnight after said date it's considered delinquent. There's pretty much no grace period with loans because there are so many ways to contact the lending institution and work out a plan, etc. Its also important to note that if Amber had an account of her own and she wasn't paying her loans back not only would her credit be ruined but they'd be garnishing her account by now which leads me to believe that her loans aren't as big of a looming thing as she makes them seem and definitely not as big of a thing as everyone has been speculating them to be. Make absolutely no mistake, there are definitely loan forgiveness programs for different degrees and even things someone like Amber (who didn't get a degree) can look into but if she wasn't communicating with her lenders or making any sort of payments we'd hear about it a lot more. Financial aid is federal so if you have any assets or accounts they'll know about it. There is also a huge difference between loans and grants. Grants, most of the time, are free and students don't have to pay them back. Loans are, as the name suggests, loans and need to be paid back. Your college debt is based off of loans, but there is also a set amount that you can take out each year that's based off of both grants and loans.

Residency for Finaid purposes is established in a number of ways but the biggest is to just register to vote or have a state drivers license. If you can't do that, even at tech or CC's they offer out of state tuition options so I don't know why that's even a talking point? Furthermore - $19,000, if that's the correct amount, is actually relatively low considering she should've been eligible for the full amount of loans and knowing Amber she would've taken the full amount, which leads me to believe she either has another source of income she's not mentioning to us but had to report because again, federal shit, or only went to school for a very short amount of time, shorter than she's said in her YouTube videos, actually. Iirc, did she say she went for 6 months? Because based off her loan amount I believe that would be only 3 if she took out the full amount each time and her school was based on a quarter system.

AL simply said that "she fell". I'm not sure how that works; every time I have twisted or sprained my ankle, the fall was the result of the injury, not the other way around.

Yah, I fell on some ice at my folks house. I landed hard and broke both sides of my ankle. Took damn near a year to recover.

Not to :powerlevel: but I am a college student (online, based in Chicago) and in order to keep my grants I have to maintain a GPA of 3.8 or higher. There is no way AL could keep up with those kinds of standards, which could be another reason to dropped out.

Anyone hear of FAFSA? My son has obtained free govt funding for the last 2 years. They pay for his classes, then give him around 5K for expenses. All he has to do is keep a full schedule and maintain a 2.0. That's what you're eligible for in California. There is no obligation for him to pay it back.
