Meh, those numbers are misleading because the source is leaving out that all you have to do is hire a lawyer and you'll get approved. Even if you hire a lawyer, you still have to go round and round and deal with denials and appeals until your ass winds up at the Office of Hearings Operations/Office of Adjudication Review. The entire process can take years unless you have a pretty solid claim that demonstrates you absolutely cannot work in any capacity due to a pretty debilitating condition. Even people with double amputations can wind up stuck in the process if they mess up their paperwork. Amberlynn can still work, she just chooses not to. Being fat does not automatically equate to being disabled. You are correct about the backpay, however.
