The person who made the original comment was right. 522 isn't her starting weight; it is her (current) highest weight. Amber hasn't started any kind of weight loss work. I think Doctor Now once said when you're as big as people like Amber, you're either gaining or losing. All Amber has done this year is gain. The 1-5 pounds here and there is not a true loss. At her size, that's a little bit of water - not fat. She was in the 400 pound range for a long time, but she's climbing the 500s quickly. It was only a month or so ago that she admitted to being 502, then 514, and now 522.

She probably does have a lot of water weight in her legs (I believe in one of the episode of my 600 Pound Life, Dr. Now told Steven Assanti’s brother that Steven actually had less fat than him because of the weight in his legs). But the solution is still to lose weight.

I never really understand people with a mentality like Amber’s. Maybe you have some genetic condition, disease, whatever that makes weight gain easy. But the treatment 99% of the time is a tightly controlled diet. I don’t know what they expect to do differently.

She must feel sick and horrible often, but I guess the food addition isn’t bad enough to spend some of that 10k monthly income on some therapy.

The only reason she's saying that she's lost weight right now is because of all the controversy about the spectacular backfire that was AL fat shaming Crystal, who has actually lost weight, and all the congratulations Crystal got for her progress.
