This is going to show me off as an autist, so be warned. I have always been fascinated by beasts as large as Amberlynn. Gaining weight and being overweight is a simple concept. You eat more calories than you burn = weight gain. But I have never understood HOW someone could gain so much weight, SO FAST, when they started out huge to begin with! No matter how fat you are, you cannot change the laws of physics or mathematics.
What's really confused me, is getting my head around how Hamber can be gaining weight as quickly, or even more quickly at 560lbs that she did 100 and 200lbs ago. Logically, she has to be eating more each day than the last to keep gaining weight.
I did some maths to try and understand it.
Ambers starting weight in her first vlog was 368lbs. Her "ending" weight in her video last week was 560lbs. The first video was 17th/Nov/2013, and her recent video was 17/Feb/2019. So in 1918 days, she gained 192lbs. This is on average 0.100lbs per day of gain (or 1.6 ounces). This means on average she has gained a pound of weight every ten days. I know that she has been on a cycle of gain/lose and has changed pace continuously, but I don't have enough time to literally find every single weigh in she's done to make the trend.
I used an online TDEE calculator, and god knows how accurate they are, especially when the lowest setting of activity is "sedentary" as opposed to "bed bound", but it placed her at 2836calories a day to maintain (at her starting weight). What interests me is that she would have to consume 3,500 on TOP of what she "expends" by living to gain a pound. So that's an excess of roughly 350 a day for ten days straight to gain a pound. That's easily done with a big mac and some candy here and there. But when she gains a pound (and is at 369lbs) her TDEE goes up. I did some calculations, and the website I used suggested that with each pound gained, Amber would have an additional 5.5 calories in her TDEE.
She has since gained 198 pounds. Her TDEE is estimated now at 3,881calories a day to maintain.
This doesn't take into account that her rate of expenditure is inverse to her weight, so she would need (somewhat?) less calories to maintain because she isn't burning anything. But then again, at her size, does walking to the bathroom burn as much as climbing three flights of stairs for a normal person?
What really shocks me is that when you look at the trend of weight gain, it's faster and faster (since she's been with Becky). So not only does she need to continuously eat a shit ton to get to 368, she needs to eat even more to gain weight, eat even MORE to keep consistently gaining weight, and eat even MORE to increase the speed of weight gain.
She not only eats huge amounts of high calorie food, but she does that constantly.
It takes a LOT of fucking work to become Amberlynn reid.
