Amberlynn might be playing the narc game called triangulation. Perhaps she doesn't actually care about seeing her mother and is just pretending to care in hopes of causing static between her mother and aunt Tammie. She's claiming that her mother said she can visit any time and that a month-long visit would be no problem, but she's leaving out that her druggie mother doesn't even have her own place. She lives with her sister, Tammie!

If Amberlynn plays up how much she needs her mommy but Tammie expresses concerns about a visit especially a month-long visit where she brings her girlfriend and a damn dog, it might cause a rift between Tammie and AL's mother.

Hamber is excellent at triangulation. She was that way pretty evidently with Becks and Rafe/Hannah early on in this era. That's precisely the game she played that caused that short lived rift. You play one person against the other so that you look like the victim/savior in every situation. Hamber is nothing if not a master manipulator. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this is her game with mom and Tammie now. I'd say she's tried it with Becks' family and that's why they hate her. I wonder if she's tried it with the gays?

I wouldn't be surprised even a little bit if she weren't actively pulling that shit to try and extricate Becks from the Fag Shanty. Triangulation works on the most intelligent of people. The Fag Shack has no chance.

I think you're onto something. It would also explain why AL is deadset on going to Oklahoma rather than flying her mom out to Kentucky: She wants out. It's no secret she hates KY, and if she can just get Becky away from her family for a bit, she's probably sure she could manipulate her into relocating permanently. And if not -- if Becky just chauffeurs her to OK and ultimately heads home -- it's not a huge loss because she's got a new caretaker AND she's no longer subject to the indignity of living two hours away from the nearest Cheesecake Factory.

Call me a haydur, call me a cynic, call me a conspiracy theorist, but every time I imagine the stupidest, most narcissistic, self-serving, and bizarre explanation for known facts, AL one ups me with a truly fucked-up sitchyation. Once she gets there she can dump Becky and send her back to Kentucky, move in with her mommy-caretaker, get rid of Aunt Tammie (Amber's a pro at causing trouble), and then proceed to make her mom's life hell as payback. Because of course, it's all druggy-mommy's fault that Amberlynn is a mammoth cunt. In Amber's mind anyway. God I wish someone would make this scenario into a movie - it would be a thousand times better than Gilbert Grape.

With all due respect, I think you're imagining Amber having far more intelligence than she has. The most likely explanation is always the most obvious and to me, that is that her mum is still on probation so can't leave the state.

There's a good chance you're right. But there's also a good chance this theory is close to the truth.

It's a tough call: Either ALR is too stupid to come up with this, or ALR is stupid enough to think this will work. Lidurally a toin-coss, as far as I'm concerned.

I think it's weird that she gains weight every week. I mean, even obese people usually have a "set point" where their weight only fluctuates by a few pounds on a monthly basis but over the years slowly inches upwards. I can understand Becky's rapid weight gain is because ALR wants an eating buddy, but why does ALR gain on a regular basis? I know the answer is because she is eating more and more, but why? It just seems odd to me
