Seeing all the talk of skeptics on this thread, how is it that the only one who saw through Amos Yee was fucking June (who mind you isn't the best judge of character)?

It's because they focused on what he was saying about free speech. That was more important than his desire to fuck children.

The issue with Virtuousfolk is they give themselves that label. They want everyone to trust that, and that's a really, really risky road. Exactly as you said, they need to keep to themselves and get real therapy/help. There's retreats where pedos can live in small little villages all to themselves, singing church songs and trying to be all innocent but I garantee there's going to be at least one person in each of those hiding material. The monitoring for them is honestly awful. Many get access to the internet and phones and whatever when they really shouldn't, as was the case with an old pedo-to-pedo online email service that used to run - Many of these people were adverts from criminals who found a way to get on the net again.

There's been too many cases where the original forum for VP has been used as a way to sneakily network with other pedos. It's an easy place to find likeminded people out in the open without needing to resort to things like Tor and all that the less technical minded ones would find intimidating. IRC Undernet was still the location of one of the biggest pedo chat rooms late in to the 2010s, and yet, it disguised as an 'rp and fantasy' place and thrived as a place to share real cp and talk about meet ups.

There's no safety when these people meet, they egg each other on and bring each other one once one begins to slip up. Having a support network is great, sure, just becomes horribly risky when it's other pedos who can get material and tempt each other.

Oh definitely they have CP hidden on their computers. Or they skirt it as close as they can by keeping vids and pictures of young looking adults who play up the fact they look young by pretending to be underage. Hell these guys have darknets set up that the only way you can access them is to get an invitation and provide material that they haven't seen before. It's in a sense a way to incriminate yourself that if you're looking to take them down you have to essentially break the law to do so.

It's also why porn stars like Little Lupe and Kitty Jung are so popular with pedos. It allows them to see a young woman who's not well developed and looks smaller next to her co-star and they can pretend that they're really only 14 or however old they want.
