I mean what other vice or perversion out there do people feel the need to tell others that they want to but don't? Can you imagine somebody saying, "I really want to fuck corpses but I don't because I respect the dead" and act like that's a good thing? The mere fact of wanting to defile a corpse makes you a horrible person and it would be best, for everybody, that you keep that to yourself. Announcing it publicly means you're looking for validation from other corpse fuckers that you're "one of the good ones".

Some crimes are strangely prosecuted more severely than others. Rape can get you 10 years in prison, murder can get you 25. But when digital piracy was really big and the RIAA and MPAA were going after pirates with a vengeance they were pushing for 25 years. It got reduced to 10 years and now you'd be lucky to face only 5. But still 5 years for piracy VS 6 years for possession of child porn? Yeah no. Chomos and others that possess CP should be sent to jail for a longer period with no chance of parole. And put them into gen pop. The problem will solve itself within a couple months at most.
When he was going to be kicked out of the room he was renting he put up a request for housing and had loads of qualifications for what kind of place he could accept. Standard stuff like it had to be close to a supermarket and public transit because he doesn't drive. But other things like he could only give $300 a month, the person would have to provide him with high speed internet access and be okay with him being loud and filming things to go online at all hours of the day. And you couldn't kick him out if he said or did something you didn't agree with.

I think you guys need to understand that people who are put in prison for rape and murder aren't exactly the heroes that will deliver the justice you feel is needed to be dealt here.
If you ask a sample of random countries out of all 194 or w/e, I bet you more would want homosexuality punished this way than paedophilia--and yet, both still exist in equal measure despite extreme laws in various nations to counteract such alternative lifestyles.

Literally in a separate wing of the prison. And in many cases, in entirely separate prisons literally custom-built for the purpose. I don't know a single state that doesn't have them, and there are a lot in the federal system too. For instance, Nick Bate is in one of them. So is Peter "DrPizza" Bright. The prison he's in, FCI Petersburg, is even a designated Sex Offenders Management Prison.
Much of this is pursuant to the Prison Rape Elimination Act, which is a large part of the reason that most of these prison rape jokes are outdated. The reason for the PREA was that there was in fact essentially an epidemic of unchecked sexual abuse of prisoners, especially unpopular ones like child sex offenders.
This was alleviated largely by the creation of these protective custody wings in federal and state prisons across the country. Check any prison website and there are annual mandatory reporting requirements under the PREA that require them to detail what their current situation is and what they're doing about it.
Incidentally, Amos Yee is currently housed at Cook County Jail Division 6 which, surprise, surprise, has a protective custody wing.

The reason Americans talk so much about child molesters getting what they want is because the current zeitgeist here voicing how bad X is while telling people how good you are when it comes to going against X. Makes me wonder how Chris Hansen never jumped in. He might have royally fucked up the Onision stuff but that case was shaky to begin with, this would have been a gold mine for him. Amos was out there saying all this shit for years and it somehow flew completely under the radar of the Lord High Dovakiin of map slayers. Maybe Uncle Fedster told him to fuck off while they ran their operation.
