It's the only Gab product that interests me. It's a shame the implementation and design is so god damned fucking awful. Being able to insert genuinely unfettered comment sections into articles etc is a fantastic idea in principle.

Maybe. But its been the same shit on bitchute for four years now. By then youtube got out of its dogshit faze and more quality videos were being made. Maybe when BitChute finally gets streaming working things could change.

BitChute is run by some of the most incompetent people in the world. We can make fun of Torba all we want but at least Gab continues to add new features and massively improve.

It’s been 3 years and BitChute’s video quality is still 360P, the search is garbage, and it takes 6 hours to upload a 5 MB video. Also took them 2 years to ditch Disqus and implement a basic comments system.

The only upside is BitChute rarely censors compared to Youtube and other Alt-Tech platforms.

It's not like there are any social media companies that grew under the premise of being anti-censorship that then turned around and started censoring their userbase once they were well-established. Bitchute censor, they just censor different things. They will take down a Paedophile Sting archive channel without any warning or explanation, but front-page "Holocaust Lies, Flat Earth Truth, Magic Mineral Water central".

So instead of an archive of things that YouTube censors because of "bullying", we get some nutjob ranting about wooden doors, or the fact his retarded experiment proves the world isn't a globe.

Which to me confirms that if, by the grace of all that is holy, they somehow gain more mainstream traction, their policy would just mirror that of YouTube on these matters.

Of course BitChute censors way less than YouTube, but right now their only value is that they have a much larger back catalog of uploaded content than a better protocol like LBRY. Peronally, I expect LBRY to surpass BitChute in 1-2 years.

Odysee is working great I was able to upload all of the clips from my channel within a week. Bitchute took months before auto sync uploads ever worked. I haven’t shilled either of my channels on there and they are both getting natural engagement & followers. Unlike Bitchute & Gab, which always felt empty.
