Angry Joe / Joe Vargas / Jose Antonio Vargas / AngryJoeShow - Streamer, formerly made ANGRY REVIEWS, hates his fans

I don't get it. What makes him funny?

Nothing, well, except his cowish behavior. As far as his actual content goes, I don't think humor was ever his appeal. It was usually the worst part of his reviews actually, and part of the decline in quality was him trying to insert more of them. His game reviews were far from the best, but it felt like he used to put effort into them. For me, the decline was whenever he started doing Twitch stuff, because along with an increase in skits, the reviews also just had significant chunks that were showing replays of the twitch streams.

Or he could just stop reading the fucking comments if they are that bad instead of chimping out over them.
Unfortunately, he has to... Youtube is all based on "community" and "suggestions".
He should just hire a guy to wade the shitstain commenters and put the real suggestions and not the cool kid wannabe 4 channers.

It's like all these cows are melting down and crossing over. How long until an avengers style fuck you all video.

No, it's not just you. History's a river when it comes to Lolcows, and things tend to repeat. In Angry Joe, you can see virtually every single mistake that a careercow can make, to the point where he's gradually moving towards eclipsing both Spoony's infamous meltdown and the self-destruction of DarkSydePhil.

How does one out-fuck-up those two?

Intentional masturbation stream, while screaming at fans?

His reasons for not getting rid of the skits is because he wouldn't have anything else to pay Other Joe for. I imagine they get some sort of salary for showing up on streams and doing the movie reviews. Joe basically just pays them to agree with him. In the videos I saw, which I admit is not many and were also the earliest ones, they maybe contributed about a minute total of dialogue in videos that range from 30-40ish minutes. And most of the dialogue was just blindly agreeing with Joe. Other than that, they just nod, and occasionally laugh or repeat something Joe said.

If they have an opinion that disagrees slightly with Joe, he's very dismissive or sometimes "jokingly" insulting to them. To me, it always felt like Joe trying to act like the top dog, but it just came off as sad, especially since they really don't seem to care at all. It might just be the kind of friendship that they have, but eh, Joe seems to treat everyone like that. I know for some of the reviews Joe has also said he purchased multiplayer games for Other Joe or someone else to play for the sake of the review, despite them not appearing in the actual review itself outside of the skits.

I've never watched his streams, but some other people have mentioned they show up more there. They might be more active in those, but I doubt it. For whatever reason, Other Joe is weirdly popular with the fans. They seem to be pretty readily available, but I don't know if that's because they're unemployed or because Joe just schedules his stuff late enough in the day where work hours aren't an issue.

Now that you mention it... I've tried watching maybe two or three of his reviews, but gave up since they are just incredibly boring and without any kind of insight that better reviewers provide. Joe would just ramble on about his personal opinions while the other guys were basically relegated to being window dressing and acting as yes men.

I wish he stuck to retrospective with just the recent events added on as now that video was kind of meh, and felt like he was just stretching out what could be done in 5 minutes into 20 minutes after deciding to change it.

Yeah, there was so much more he could have talked about. I felt the same way about the Linkara and Spoony videos, to be honest. These vids feel rushed to me.

Part of me hopes that he'll get to the real meat of everything he hasn't talked about yet in his finale, but at the same time I can't help but feel he's hyping the finale up too much. Remember, in his Linkara video he stated that about 2/3 of the finale would involve Lewis, but now he's adding in the original ideas he had for Joe, which is like 3 big points where he fucked up. This finale video's shaping up to either be the biggest TGWTG analysis video about all the drama over the years or an extreme clusterfuck.

I hope I'm wrong and that the finale will be worth it, but the way Jim's hyping it it'd better be something good.

Yeah it's almost like he shits out videos with no thought or quality control and just reads out stuff from here and ED.
Weird.

There was actually a lot of things that the Joe video got wrong/was sort of misleading about, which is strange because one would think he would be more informed if he had other content planned.

The biggest issue I had was the timeline. He made it sound like that, up until now, Joe had been sticking to the schedule he had promised. I stopped watching Joe like a year ago, and a large part of that was because he had gone through a similar process before, where he'd promise more videos and make excuses about being depressed etc. He's also been pretty clear about how long it takes to make a game review, which is his other go to defense. Now to be fair, yeah, it does take time. But to the best of my knowledge, Joe only ever aimed for a video a month, and has missed that deadline before. The "gameplay" excuse doesn't really fly anymore either, since Joe has started streaming, so people can blatantly see he has nothing but time on his hands to game.

It also implied that the viewers are dumb enough not to realize that his videos take more than 20 minutes to make. I'm sure there are probably some bottom feeders in the comment that don't realize that, but a lot of the people that are jumping ship have acknowledged this, but there issue is that Joe can't even bother to get a video a month out.

The video did mention it, but I think it sort of glossed over Joe's "taking back my channel" bullshit. People have suggested he make a new channel for movie/tv reviews and whatever, but Joe's "argument" is that the haters would follow him. Again, the YouTube bottom feeders might troll the channel, but the trolling will always be worse on his main channel. He doesn't want to make a new account or start a new show or whatever because he wants and expects the same amount of views and likes as his main content gets.

And that's where I think the video really failed, it really didn't focus on Joe's greed. Nothing about all the sponsored stuff, nothing about monetizing the JewWario video, nothing about blatantly splitting his videos to get extra views etc.

I think Jim's trying too hard to come off as neutral when that's not really what we want to see. It leads to this situation where he's making Joe look better than he actually is for the sake of neutrality.

I disagree with Jim about the like/dislike ratio of the first and second vlog. The feelings of discontent among Joe's core viewership is still there, the vlog did nothing to change that. It's just that people aren't going to spend all day, every day hating on Joe for not making real content.

I think Joe will make one or two reviews in September and then fall off the wayside again, making more excuses. Let's be with ourselves. This isn't being done because making Angry Reviews is hard. Joe simply doesn't want to do them.

Also Jim didn't seem to notice that Joe HAS been deleting the top rated comments on the "We only want Angry Reviews!" video for calling him out, so there's that.

I think Joe is simply in the early stages of putting himself in a bubble to protect him and his most devoted followers from the internet at large.
