That I also thought. She is nothing more than just the face that speaks out stuff that actually comes from McIntosh. Even then, her presence, as much as what she says she may not really believe along with whatever amount of bogus information it has, managed to anger a lot of MRA's who think she is threat. All her MRA opponents done was make her look good in comparison within the eyes of people who wouldn't pay much attention to all this.
That sums up what her A-Logs accomplish. They just make her look oppressed. All they do is sperg over this, giving her ammo while simultaneously showing how stupid they are.
Yup exactly. I think people outside of those communities would either not give a shit about her in the first place or be more focused on other stuff going on. I know that I didn't start hearing about her or Gamergate until many months after the fact and people I observed were focused on talking about the deaths of those like Robin Williams and Joan Rivers. I feel that some of this stuff is so esoteric and blown out of proportion sometimes.

There's another component I've noticed to all of this as well. With all the a-logs that this woman has come the hardcore fans that she somehow has who are the ones that get offended by people who make videos about Anita in the first place and believe it's harassment that she's getting from those people. It's a never-ending cycle between these two extremes. I still don't quite understand it.
To be fair, if you're talking about GamerGate, Anita was actually notorious (but not much during GamerGate, obviously) ever since she posted her very first Feminist Frequency vid which caused some controversy. I have heard of her too even before GamerGate was a thing, but needless to say before GamerGate, other than the retarded MundaneMatt PA request, there's not really much attention given to her and even that people are sort-of like "Meh, I disagree with her" or "She's retarded, end of story" and that's it.
Just for the perspective: even if you're disagreeing with what Sarkeesian is doing, what she's doing is, at worst, really no different from Star Wars Episode I.

A big part of this is business, in my opinion. Especially once Gamergate started and Anita became a lightning rod, view-hungry Youtubers took advantage. You can spot the worst of them by their videos' colorful icons and use of Anita's image. It seems that for every Warcorpse or Arikado getting mad, there's an e-businessman feigning it. Of course, behind each of those there are hundreds of genuinely mad viewers.
I don't think I had. One new thing I learned from this thread is how long that had been going on. I laughed out loud at Mundane Matt saying in the second video of the OP, from August, 2013, "So, uh, after 14 months of making videos and comments and commentary about Miss Anita Sarkeesian . . .". And here we are in 2016, and it's still easy to dig up fresh salt (thanks, @cat).
