Careercow Anthony "Ally" Burch - Cuck. Bummed out ev'ryday his parents are alive.

I'm not sure I can blame them for not to want to fully commit to giving him benefits though, given that he's such a shrieking cow.
Usually contractors are only brought on for a single project and hired from a 3rd party company that is the middle man. There is no shame in that and while a contractor may not provide the same quality as an employee you hire to work directly for you, you can fire them for what ever reason you want and they can get work where ever they want.

But Anthony is doing independent contractor work. If Anthony were something like a truck driver with his own big rig hauling excess loads for whatever company, it'd be impressive and a huge win as those types of contractors bring their own equipment and get waaaaayyy bigger cuts for bringing their own equipment and assuming the risk and have companies begging to hire them.
This isn't the case though.
Anthony at Riot was the equivalent of a seasonal or Temp worker. No hour requirements, No benefits, No legal issues for shit canning for no reason. However what the hell does Riot make that requires any kind of story? What events have they run that required a deep lore project?

My guess? He got a pity job project from a friend. Friend was not a higher up but had enough clout to get a higher up to hire him and argued to just make him a contractor if he wasn't worth taking on as a full employee. Explains his free time to write all his other dog shit projects. But I'm still confused what projects required a writer?

Hmmmm. Interesting. Shortly around Burch geting shitcanned Kotaku accuses them of sexism 8/7/18 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riot_Games#Allegations_over_gender_discrimination also strange that something so recent immediately makes it into wikipedia given how tight they lock shit down.

Tin Foil hat speculation:
- Burch sperged cause of drama at work, plotted to oust Riot people with journofag buddies, then got shitcanned for hi stunt forgetting he was useless
- Burch was hired as a "writer" but in reality he was a protection hire. Then when he got fired the fags fired their hit pieces in response.

Really makes you think, but then again I don't wanna go full gamergate over this.

I'm going with "pity hire", and like I said earlier, probably because these people want to remain on Ash's good side.

Ashley's VA is mostly forgettable, I'd say her most "famous" work is Life is Strange, because VA took front and center stage there over action or puzzles.

In reality, though, there aren't many really notable female VAs. Outside of Jennifer Hale, you'd probably be hard pressed to find a famous female VA who focuses on video games as a primary role (you have plenty of women like Tara Strong that have crossed over into video games, but they're still primarily television voice actors). On the male side, most people can easily name a few, like Nolan North, Steve Blum, Troy Baker, David Hayter, etc.

I think that's the main reason that Ashley is such a "big name", she really doesn't have much competition on that front. If you need a female voice actor, and Jennifer Hale is busy, Ash is probably next on the speed dial.

There's plenty of female voice actors, but whoever is in charge of casting decisions over in the US seems to have Jennifer Hale and Laura Bailey on speed dial

I don't follow Ashley Burch but I'm still sure the hot female sister is getting more work than her soyboy brother. Who gave us "Buttstallion The Diamond Horse"

The Buttstalion thing made me un-laugh, which is somehow infinitely quieter than dead silence.

Playing through BL2 for the first time, Buttstalion was a portent of things to come, a reminder that this game was being written by the wackiest guy in the chatroom.

It's very likely he was a hire for a friend. It's come up in Rebecca Gerber's topic that she more or less only got her archivist position (that she couldn't even do) because of Daniel Klien. I imagine there's a lot of hires like that within Riot.

The WiiU joke will never get old.

However what the hell does Riot make that requires any kind of story? What events have they run that required a deep lore project?
I went over this specifically; he wrote for a one-issue Miss Fortune comic they ran online & a lore update to coincide with Ryze's champion update(fresh backstory to go with a fresh cinematic & powerset). Someone else pointed out that he also did some internal busywork resulting in that 48 hours challenge project that ended up being an official-but-unofficial visual novel, Legal Legends.

Likely, since he was hired into Gearbox the same way although that was stranger because the scouting agent at Gearbox wasn't his friend, just an overzealous fan of his HAWP youtube videos. If you're "friended" into Riot, it's probably probationary via the third-party staffing agency/contractor, and you have to be pretty great at your job to get actually hired in.

Anthony finds things to do in his spare time:

Anthony would really appreciate it if someone would take one for the team and commit treason-murder. But I'm not advocating for it guys!:

Anthony wants to remind you he'll take dicks and share dicks if that's what it takes to not be alone:

Anthony dishing out a double-dose of "Fuck you Riot, I was supposed to be paid for & taken care of!"

...Seriously, why do you whine & think "this makes me look desirable for employment"?

I refuse to believe Burch would do that. He's the tool, the floormat everyone wipes their legs with, can't even hold to his Wii U, always on the receiving end of exploitation.

The only way to uphold the rule of law is to commit a treasonous felony? Wow, that is like absolute nonsense anti-logic.

Oh, wait he means to uphold the rule of laws he approves of.

It's honestly more worrying that someone like Reich who's taken relatively seriously is talking seriously about impeaching a a president and then retroactively annulling all their actions. That's the kind of shit that happens in South American banana republics. And it usually causes a tit for tat escalation and eventual breakdown in the system

https://scholar.harvard.edu/levitsky/files/1.1linz.pdf

As more of the world's nations turn to democracy, interest in alternative constitutional forms and arrangements has expanded well beyond academic circles. In countries as dissimilar as Chile, South Korea, Brazil, Turkey, and Argentina, policymakers and constitutional experts have vigorously debated the relative merits of different types of democratic regimes. Some countries, like Sri Lanka, have switched from parliamentary to presidential constitutions. On the other hand, Latin Americans in particular have found themselves greatly impressed by the successful transition from authoritarianism to democracy that occurred in the 1970s in Spain, a transition to which the parliamentary form of government chosen by that country greatly contributed.

Nor is the Spanish case the only one in which parliamentarism has given evidence of its worth. Indeed, the vast majority of the stable democracies in the world today are parliamentary regimes, where executive power is generated by legislative majorities and depends on such majorities for survival.

By contrast, the only presidential democracy with a long history of constitutional continuity is the United States. The constitutions of Finland and France are hybrids rather than true presidential systems, and in the case of the French Fifth Republic, the jury is still out. Aside from the United States, only Chile has managed a century and a half of relatively undisturbed constitutional continuity under presidential government-but Chilean democracy broke down in the 1970s.

Americans like Reich ought to be thanking their lucky stars they live in the USA which has an uninterrupted history of constitutional rule and peaceful transitions of power and not some place like Chile where he'd probably have been chucked out of a helicopter.

That's complete bullshit. Almost all assassinations and attempted assassinations of presidents and presidential candidates in the United States over the course of the 20th and 21st centuries have been committed by leftists, complete nutjobs, or apolitical attention seekers. The ones that remain include things like Puerto Rican nationalists attempting to kill Truman and a Palestinian terrorist killing RFK. Broadening the search to attempted assassinations of other politicians, leftists probably come out on top given how active anarchists were in the early 20th century and left-wing terrorist groups were in the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s.

Despite claims by the left that the right is particularly violent, it's actually pretty difficult to find right-wing assassins or would-be assassins in the United States. That's not to say that there haven't been violent right-wing individuals and groups in the same period, because they have been, but for whatever reason, they don't assassinate politicians as much as other groups.

I might be misremembering, but didn't he tweet something about how much money he was making in an attempt to rile up Gamer Gaters once that clusterfuck was starting to gain ground? I guess he can join the ranks of other creators who are now unemployed after being openly hostile to the audience they're trying to build.

I'm not sure I can blame them for not to want to fully commit to giving him benefits though, given that he's such a shrieking cow.

I wouldn't even object if they'd classified him as a fixed asset, like a printer, and then terminated him Office Space style for giving confusing status reports.

Look, Anthony, if you're not willing to step up to bat and camp out on the grassy knoll with a sniper rifle and a cyanide pill, then shut the fuck up and wait for Trump to die of a heart attack like the rest of us.

Pussy-ass bitch, you might as well be trying to cast voodoo spells on him. Useless.

I think in this instance it was about Kavanaugh, which is funny because of that one teacher who got suspended/fired for tweeting something very similar recently.

Anthony is still active on twitter as of Oct 13, but the only interesting interaction was this:

I can't believe Anthony hasn't blocked broteam yet, and is still willfully interacting with him. Broteam has Anthony wrapped around their finger :story:

(non)update: as of Nov. 1st, 2018 he's been radio silent for two weeks on all of his preferred social media platforms which is unusual for someone who's become unemployed from a dream job over political sperging. I can only surmise that his online interactions are limited to gaming marathons with limited online play or raging anonymously on reddit with a throwaway account, but there's no way to know currently.

update 2: He's finally broken his social media blackout... to shill a game featuring his sister's VA. Is money tight? Oh well, shilling for family has some dignity in togetherness I suppose.
