Some of these aren't coming out/aren't confirmed to come out in 2025 but I'm gonna include them anyways because why not.
Big ass autism text walls incoming so you can just skip if you aren't a fan of that.
THE JOY OF CREATION (Previously estimated 2025: current release date unknown.)
Reason: For those of you that don't know or don't have as much autism as I do, The Joy of Creation was initially a FNaF fangame made by Nikson which went under multiple variations before finally being released on gamejolt as The Joy of Creation: Story mode. It was lauded as one of the best fangames ever made upon release and I can't say the praise was unwarranted. Because of this, Scott Cawthon decided to include Nikson in an initiative that gave fangame creators an actual budget to make a higher quality version/sequel of their previous fangames with the bonus of officially endorsed merch being made for said fangames.
Backstory aside, the steam demo for this game is already one of the best things that's come out of FNaF in the past 5 years, possibly one of the best things to come out of FNaF full stop. Every mechanic from the Office level in the original TJOC has been expanded upon in small but significant ways that constantly keep you under pressure, And the atmosphere and dread is unlike anything I've seen in a FNaF game, official and unofficial. Plus the animatronics actually kill you when they jumpscare you instead of just screaming in your face, seriously the design and animation on these fuckers is amazing. Even if you aren't big on FNaF, I'd highly recommend atleast checking this out, 90% chance you won't regret it.
SLAY THE SPIRE 2 (Estimated: 2025)
Reason: The original Slay the Spire was already a really good roguelike, and this seems to be just more of the first game, new classes, new tiles, enemies, cards, basically what you want from a sequel. I'm not even a big card game person but I can't deny how well put together the first game was. It wasn't afraid to gatekeep itself and demand proper play while also not overloading you with a bunch of bullshit and allowing itself to be more lighthearted sometimes.
ELDEN RING: NIGHTREIGN (Estimated: 29th of May)
Reason: I'm quite interested to see how Fromsoft handles such a different style of game compared to what they usually do, I don't think it's any secret that the souls formula has been getting stale, so this could be a great way to breath new life into it and the world of Elden Ring. Being able to fight previous Souls bosses with ER movement and combat is gonna be one hell of an experience, but I'm willing to see how it goes, I really hope they give returning bosses some new kit to help them not only adapt to the faster combat of ER but also to make them fit with ER's setting, like giving Nameless King some ancient lightning attacks or making Centipede demon utilize ER's magma, something to give them more of a fighting chance.
I also really like the changes they've made to some of the weapons, alot of the supposed legendary weapons in ER never managed to truly feel legendary, but with the buffs given to alot of the legendary weapons like the Sacred Relic sword or the Axe of Godrick, I think it'll help them stand out alot more.
Basically, this game is either gonna be one of the best Fromsoft games in years, or absolute dogshit, with not alot of room inbetween. Still, I'm excited for it.
STREETS OF ROGUE 2 (Estimated: 2025)
Reason: The original Streets of Rogue was a surprisingly good and complex game, and one of the few roguelikes that truly committed to it's randomness and allowed you to tackle stuff in any way you wanted. I must admit I am concerned with the open world approach, but if there was any game to attempt such a switch in design, I think Streets of Rogue is probably the best one to take a swing at it. I haven't played the demo myself and I've tried to avoid as many spoilers as possible, however I'm very impressed with the graphical overhaul, it looks really good and seems like a fitting evolution of the first gamesart-style.
ALABASTER DAWN (Estimated: WHO FUCKING KNOWS)
Reason: Radical Fish games is already responsible for not only one of my favorite Indie games, but one of my favorite games of all time: CrossCode. So when I heard they were working on another game, of course I was gonna be interested. From what we've seen so far, the game seems to have taken the best parts of CrossCode and expanded upon them, such as the fast, satisfying, and in-depth combat, the winding and intricate puzzles, and the gorgeous art direction. The game already fixed one of CrossCodes "biggest" flaws, that being the camera POV obscuring the platforming occasionally due to the semi-top down POV it opted for. Aside from that. The parkour from CrossCode seems to be returning, meaning that ideally no screen or area will go to waste, and if the writing of CrossCode is anything to go by, then this'll surely be a treat not only in the gameplay department, but the story and character department aswell.
Admittedly I am nervous, as Radical Fish has some massive shoes to fill, but regardless whether they pull through or not, it will certainly be an interesting experience one way or another.
Oh yeah SilkSong and Deltarune aswell but considering I listed a FNaF fangame as the first game on this list my indie (and general) autism should go without saying.
