Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

Not getting it anyime soon-- my doctors have literally told me to hold off (because, you know, everyone has different circumstances). That doesn't necessarily mean "never," though. Once my circumstances change, and once it gets the FDA approval in a few years, then I'll be more inclined to take it. Until then, I'm on multiple vitamins that my doctors have recommended to me, and I'm young and healthy, so ... Fuck off to anyone who has already told me to "just get it."

I know a guy who was pressured into getting the vaccine, and so he did without consulting his doctor first (which is quite reckless given that this person has had a history of health issues and is on multiple medications). Well, it turns out that he permanently damaged his kidneys, and he can never have a drop of alcohol again.

Ultimately, everyone should just stay out of everyone else's fucking business. I don't see how caving into peer pressure without consulting your doctor first is pro-science.

I am not the one lying about being a biologist. I am not a biologist, nor do I claim to be.
You're the one who claims to be a medical professional who "works with doctors".
That is when you're not admitting you get your info from Facebook.

But if even I can see you're full of shit about basic concepts, it's obvious you're either lying or trash awful and unqualified at your job.
Yes because the ability to see how long-term scutavirus tumors which primarily murk pre-reproductively active turtles is alone not enough to significantly dent the population of endangered Green Sea turtles; and then turning around and realizing that a fucking short-term respiratory coronavirus which primarily murk post-reproductive age humans is not enough to dent the population of overpopulated humans means I'm trash at my job.

I never claimed to be a doctor or anything but I will trust the words of doctors I know and work with over retards online who pretend to be biologists. Especially when said people don't understand basic concepts of biology and spout out debunked anti-vax talking points while claiming to not be antivax

No you just claimed to trust the doctors who you "work with" and never explained that. And good job proving what I said about you in every way. Again.
I don't tell my job on Kiwi Farms because I am not that retarded. I've been faildoxed a bunch of times on here and I ain't giving anyone any ammo for that

Funny how those "basic concepts of biology" have nothing to do with taxonomy, population bottleneck effect, population trends, evolution & natural selection or cell function, and instead only happen to be keywords you heard on MSM and read on Facebook.

That's interesting because you claim to be IT at a Hospital at least two times, that is when you're not claiming that you "work in healthcare" or "work in medicine".

So you're simultaneously well-versed in medicine, healthcare and all things hospital-related and should be used as a definitive firsthand source, but also "lol I don't tell my job on KF".
So which is it?

If you understand the biology why would you need to trust their words?
If you don't understand the biology and just trust their words you are being manipulated.

In either case trust is useless.

It's not pro-science, true. It's uber-vax, retards who refuse to think critically and instead smear everyone who isn't buying Covid vaccine body pillows as "anti-vax". They'd probably call you and your doctor anti-vax, too.

Uber-vaxxers have the cognitive equivalent of Google Assistant

"I work in a hospital in IT" lol So he's a tech guy in a hospital pretending doctors are his co-workers and peers. He works in IT and likes to say he "works with doctors" in the same way I used to say I "work with Wallstreet professionals managing high-end accounts" despite just having a minor position in a bank in Manhattan.

HHH works with doctors in the same way the hospital janitor works with surgeons.
Also that "I've been to the front lines" bit :semperfidelis:

Obedience to authority is a hell of a thing, as Stanley Milgram demonstrated in his infamous social psychology experiment. It’s incredible how much power one could wield simply by wearing a lab coat and an authoritative sounding title.
The Milgram experiment(s) on obedience to authority figures was a series of social psychology experiments conducted by Yale University psychologist Stanley Milgram. They measured the willingness of study participants, men from a diverse range of occupations with varying levels of education, to obey an authority figure who instructed them to perform acts conflicting with their personal conscience. Participants were led to believe that they were assisting an unrelated experiment, in which they had to administer electric shocks to a "learner". These fake electric shocks gradually increased to levels that would have been fatal had they been real. The experiment found, unexpectedly, that a very high proportion of subjects would fully obey the instructions, albeit reluctantly.

Milgram experiments were extremely pseudoscientific, just like the Stanford Prison experiment, but that didn't stop your dumb high school teacher from making you think it was real and it didn't stop you from believing it.

I got poked twice and hardly had any side effects. Can't say the same for the rest of my family, but nobody has died or had any long-term problems so far.
I haven't known anyone who had any side effects other than mild local inflammation and a bit of fatigue, probably from metabolism being redirected into cranking out antibodies on the second shot.

That's retarded. I also take the word of theoretical physicists because I don't understand the math they speak. So far as I can tell, the nuclear reactors and supercolliders and shit work whether or not I believe them.

I'm not terribly impressed with the J&J jab and wouldn't choose it. Something like a 70% success is pretty shit as vaccines go. And I'd rather just get COVID than get the chink jab, ever. That one looks like possibly the worst vaccine ever marketed.

The fact is if the major vaccines were causing any major problems we would have seen it because the oldsters who got it first would have been keeling over in droves. That shit didn't happen. The idea there are some magical side effects coming is pure fantasy.

Anyone who has a masters in biology should understand how a viral vector vaccine works and what herd immunity is.

I never said I was well-versed in healthcare, but I work at a hospital and work with a lot of clinicians. That's all you need to know. But what I do doesn't matter. You're the one obviously lying about being a biologist to make yourself a total expert in everything vaccines. Sure are a lot of anti-vax biologists, though.

They should in theory last the same amount of time.
The whole point of a vaccine is to trick your T-cells & B-cells into thinking they were infected with the real thing.

Also 3 times sounds odd. Did you have a positive test for all 3 instances?
Yeah. Had it toward the start back in 2020. Again around the holidays. And again this last week or so. Will probably get it again in a few months.

No big deal. I have been taking vitamin D supplements for years anyway. And I am well within the healthy weight range for my height. And I haven't smoked since the early 2000s. Doc says the vitamin D really goes a long way. Very mild symptoms. Have had worse headaches on a normal day, et cetera.

Only lasting issue is my sense of smell. Not terribly concerned though. You want to get the vaccine? Go for it. It's not for me though.

Bruh you spent nearly a year screaming anyone who didn't believe the CDC was a heretical science denier only to question he CDC when they told you that you didn't need to wear a mask if vaccinated which was the same fucking point Tucker Carlson and Ron Paul spent an entire month stating.

It's all such bizarre cultist behavior.
