Yeah, that's the norm. I'm a minor exception as I work for a federal contractor who's forced to comply with the executive order by early December. I don't blame the leadership of my company since they're clearly as frustrated as about a third of our workforce is. They encouraged us to take it up with our representatives after a few lively townhalls.

The executive order applies to every federal contractor, employee, and service member. Even in red states... except maybe Texas?

The only time I remember having to get vaxxed for anything related to school was prior to a semester abroad. Beside from that, I'm sure my parents had to show proof of the vaccinations I received as a child to get into elementary, middle and high school. But I've never had to disclose private medical information to an employer.
