The dev is responsible by adding all sorts of degenerate shit (collars that are puppycodded, kittycodded, for example) to the items you can acquire in the game. Whether that's because he liked that shit before or got into the tranny groomer 'cord crowd, it is irrelevant, since he has made the conscious decision to add said items to the game.

Those items aren't illegal content and they aren't grooming.

If the game had guns no one would call that grooming people to commit violence (and we'd laugh at anyone who did). Likewise no one takes issue with the fact there's beer in the game and your character can drink it.

So, are you suggesting that someone should enforce that the developers add such features in their games?

If he's asking for the government to enforce minimum standards on games and chat rooms I wish he would just come out and say it because I could at least accept that as a legitimate argument and solution.

Valve was forced to hand over data on users.

The fishing game however should be required to hold users accountable? No, but if law enforcement requests user data the developer should hand over the data they have.

Having data requested by law enforcement isn't an admin or developer holding users accountable, it's complying with a basic legal request.

I don't play the game so I have no idea what other "titles" there are, but presumably they have a bunch of gay shit. Very necessary for a game about fishing as a cutesy kid friendly animal character. The psychological ploy is obvious: Create a game with characters designed to appeal to children, present it as a "oh you just fish and maybe chat with cool people!" and then these kids join to discover everyone is some variation of queer and in order to fit in, they start identifying in these ways too. It's pretty obvious what they're doing.

I think people are way over reacting to webfishing.
The worst from what I can see is it has faggy millennial speak/humor in it. Its mildly woke at best.

The average kid is not playing webfishing, in fact I have never seen anyone under the age of 23 even talk about the game. The whole graphical style is something that does not appeal children, since it is banking off of nostalgia. Grooming gangs require children to groom, and I doubt any are playing this over fortnite. Its a chatroom with a fishing minigame, so of course there are going to be weirdos that will use ingame tools to say weird things. You can always kick/ban the weird faggots from your chatroom if you don't want to deal with them. Bitching about player made content and expecting the devs to censor everyone is part of the reason why we have such buck broken customization options.

If Roblox is anything to go by (and it ought to be) it shouldn't matter if 'the average kid isn't playing it' right now. It's very clear what sort of community installed themselves into that game, and what sort of sexual content they're after. The game itself has baked-in items regarding petplay and ageplay, and the lead dev himself launched the game making it a point that you can engage in sexplay in the game.

It shouldn't matter if there are 'only' 100, 50, 10, 0 children playing the game right now, because the groundwork for abuse is already laid out. While Webfishing is not (and probably will not be) as big as Roblox it has all the same basic ingredients; open and unmoderated communication between minors and adults, obtainable items related to sexual behavior and fetish gear, and user-generated content to promote sexual conduct. The developer has (and ignored) a responsibility to keep children out of his game knowing full well the exact sort of degenerate audience it attracts.
